First hill of rollercoasters.. what do you do?

As the train that you're on crests the first hill, what do you do? Do you hold your breath, or start screaming?

I've found that holding your breath reduces the sensation of losing your stomach. THEREFORE, I try to exhale all the way down so I INTENSIFY it. Anyone else found a way to prolong or extend the feeling??

I rode "X" and never went upside down.
Some times when I go down the hill, when sitting in the back seat, i say "Back seat, Hands up that the way to AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!" IT's really funny to hear what people ssay afterwards.

Normally I just have fun.

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.
First of all, let me say that I've only been on 3 coasters in my life, and that the first one was a portable mini steel kiddie coaster. So I didn't scream on that one.
However, on my first 2 "real" coasters- Raging Bull and Viper at SFGAm, I screamed on both first drops.
Also, to help myself get through them, I sang the asteroid field music from The Empire Strikes Back.
Asteroid Field music? Not to be confused with the Imperial Death March, I'm guessing..

I rode "X" and never went upside down.
My friends and I will either be singing a song, or still arguing over what pose we are gonna do when we go through the camera.
I guess what I'm asking is whether anyone else does anything to try to get the coaster to take your stomach MORE.

Cresting the first hill, I just hold my hands up and enjoy! No, I don't do anything to prolong (or shorten, for that matter) the "drop" feeling in your stomach, because I really don't get it in the first place!

I just relax and enjoy the first drop which I would say would be the best of all coasters.

I also try to confuse my direction, I look backwards. Ride the Raven in the back seat, and look backwards during the first drop...WOoo Boy.

Wow, that's a good idea. Never thought of that! Is it different than riding backwards already (say Thunder Road, Racer)?

I usually kiss my wife, and throw my arms up. I never scream, but usually kind of just breathe out a little "woo......" I have actually caught myself making all sorts of weird noises, so I won't say any of them here, but rest assured, they are strange. I find myself laughing at my own noises. My kids always give me strange looks.

I usually try to get the entire trainload of people screaming, clapping, making noise. (BTW, in ACE groups I don't have to do this- they're already making noise, so I give myself the ride "off"). In direct violation of all physical principles known to man, it makes the coaster go faster. I realize this isn't actually the case, but I DO tell non-enthusiaists this little axiom on coastering: "To speed up the train, scream. To slow it down, hold your arms up". I guess the second part confusues them into believing me sometimes - like that small amount of wind resistance could affect the speed of a heavy coaster train...

On the first hill i normally wave to the other trains if i can. Or if i'm with my best friends i scream casue it makes them laugh. And i much rather make people laugh than them be scared. i also like talkin to first time riders on coasters they are very funny. Also on ther first hill i like to pretend to be scared to scare other people or tell them that the coaster goes upside down even it doesn't. Or tell them the ride goes faster than it really is. I also like messing with the people in the seat in fron of me if i know them. It rocks
On the first hill of Cedar Creek Mine Ride I always like to yell, "I can see my house from here!"

"If everything seems undercontrol, you're not going fast enough!"
It Depends on the ride:
20-50ft= Kick back
60-100ft= Yawn
110-150ft=enjoy the veiw of the park
160-200ft=catch my breath and scream all the way up the lift hill.
200-290ft=remain scilent and try to convince myself im not going to die
290-310=yell oh sh** all the way up the lift. oh f********************************k al the way down the drop.

I'm confused as to how you pronounce that many asterisks in a row. :o)

I rode "X" and never went upside down.
I just throw my hands up from the moment the train is dispatched till the moment we hit the brake run.
Well, i always try to get last row, and if its a hyper, i try to maximize the feeling of ejecter air on the drop by keeping my hands up, and kinda jumping up a little, but on the lift, i try to intimidate whoever i'm with, and it's especially fun if i'm with a girl,or a non enthusiast, then the lift hill can be the best part of the ride;)
