First drop on Wildfire...

What degree descent is Wildfire @ Silver Dollar City? It feels like at least 75 degrees in the back seat.
It is around 73 degrees I think, maybe a little bit more. It is pretty steep. The free-fall on the first drop is amazing.

Wow! I can't wait to ride it this summer!

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.

I really don't think it's anywhere near 75 degrees. Even the B&M hypercoasters are only in the lower-60s. I'd guess that Wildfire is something like 57-60 degrees.

-Dennis (who, in his pre-enthusiast days, used to tell people that The Beast's drop was so steep that it curved under itself, because that's what it looked like to him. Little did he know it's only 45 degrees)

The backseat on that bad boy is awesome! I have sat in seats all over that train and they are ALL awesome!

I live in Miami Beach. It's not so much fun when you live here! Get me out! Lack of coasters, lack of cold, lack of elevation, lack of intellect, lack of English.

my website just added some pictures of Wildfire from June 8th:

DLDude13 - IIRC there is only one turn after the cork, the one into the brake run.
