If you read above, you can see that it was 127 feet tall with a 140 foot drop.

140 feet is a lot for 128, I'd like to see some pictures of that!

Well, 128 feet, 140 foot drop, if you want to see it, the closest thing would be American Eagle, 127 feet high, 147 foot drop. Not too much different.

And VIPER, Exalibur? Are you joking? A year before Shockwave @ SFGAm opened, and that was taller. Before that, Monstre at La Ronde was taller.

Cyclops. 1900 feet of CCI goodness.
actually, according to RCDB, Rutschebanen @ Tivoli Gardens was 100 feet and it opened in 1914. It's also the oldest operating coaster in the world
The oldest operating coaster in the world is Leap the Dips at Lakemont Park. It opened in 1902
Didn't the Puritas Springs Cyclone have a dip in a ravine that was 100 feet?

B&M Webmaster: The Woodcliffe Blue Streak dropped into a ravine, just like Steel Phantom / Phantom's Revenge. The 140' drop was near the end of the ride, there were 2 large ravine drops. One was 140', the other slightly smaller. Here is an article with pictures. http://www.coasterglobe.com/features/lostlegends-bluestreak/index.cfm

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
That's what I was referring to from the coaster book... "The American Roller Coaster" They said it was the tallest drop at either 127ft. or 140ft. depending on what people said. I doubt the lift in that pic was 127, or 140ft. Maybe 100ft.

The lift wasn't too high over 70ft... It accomplished the height by taking a huge plunge into the ravine, going up to the max height, and taking another huge drop into the ravine.
