Fire crews have contained a 10-acre brush fire on Dollywood property tonight with no structures threatened, theme park officials said. Crews from all 13 fire departments in Sevier County were at Dollywood fighting the brush fire that apparently was started by the park’s train as it passed through some woods around 4:40 p.m.

I was just reading this when here on our noon news there was a story about wildfires raging out of control in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. There were shots of one of those big hillside cabin/condo resorts with many structures engulfed in flames (Bear Ridge Resort?)
Just awful. Is it still very dry there? We've had nothing but rain recently.

Lets hope the fire never got to thunderhead!

The fire "at" DW has been extinguished, everything at the park is fine. The new fire in the PF area is several miles away, on Wears Valley Rd.

Is thunderhead fine?

I would tend to think that Thunderhead falls under the "everything at Dollywood" category.

The firefighters sprinted to the park in record time, thank goodness. ;-)

Luckily they had fastpasses, or they'd still be waiting to put it out.

I hope you don't MINE but this fire was a MYSTERY.

I hope the AFTERBURN doesn't do any damage to the park.

I think this fire was BEAST-ly and scarey.

Why do you bring that up?

Because it's the best first drop of any first drop anywhere. Plus, it has a great, great tunnel.

He's not 'kinda' being toolish right now, he's totally being toolish right now.

And it's wonderful.
