Financial Problem Rumor

Has anyone heard about these financial problems they are supposedly happening? If u ask me it is a rumor like the Magnum is sinking. Six Flags owns them anyway. I believe everything will be ok. Yea, the bills might be a little more than they thought but I would think they would be ready for that!

I too have heard such rumors. I find it *highly* doubtful that they can already announce over-budgeting. It seems as if they much more work to do, therefore it MUST be impossible that Premier would have underestimated by so much. Remember, the $40 Mill was for everything: Coasters, Boomtown, WAY more rides, and water attractions, along with new shows. It is too early to proclaim "insufficient funds", the way I see it.

Six Flag doesn't own Premier, Premier owns the Six Flags brand name.

25 years later and we are still discussing the financial problems of Six Flags…

You had to dig up a post from 25 years ago to make that statement?

Absolutely. It’s felt too quiet here in recent days, so I went to literally the oldest post in the forums. What were we discussing? Six flags finances and them being poor. Shocking. We were just on that not too long ago.

It felt…. Cromulent.

That's an odd way to describe it.

A few years ago I added a feature to the forums that closed any topic older than n days. Sometimes I wonder if I should use it.

There are just times where it feels good to be the naughty forum deviant. Do the dirty, dig up a 25 year old post.

You could use the feature, but if you did, you would have robbed yourself the ability to look at this post, along with countless others, and go what the (insert choice expletive) was MillenniumRider thinking, is he alright?

So ask yourself, where is the joy in that…. Keep it weird CoasterBuzz!

Am I > RRR yet?

25 years ago someone with the username SFOhio was talking about potential financial problems for Six Flags (perhaps specifically the then brand new Six Flags Ohio) and Six Flags secretly owning Cedar Point?

Even if Six Flags never went bankrupt in 2009, $100 invested in Six Flags in 2000 would be worth $160 today.

25 years later, and Six Flags is still a terrible investment.

Quick calculator says that would be $186ish today with inflation. So I would have lost $26 on Six Flags, a lousy investment indeed.

It's been weirdly quiet here and on the sister-Buzz forum. To that I would agree.

Promoter of fog.

Summer is always quiet it’s almost like we are all too busy directly enjoying our hobby to indirectly contribute to it. Log off and go to a park, every park in North America is currently open daily.
