Fights break out at Paramount's Great America

A couple girls almost got in a fight over line jumping when I was waiting in line for Tomb Raider at Kings Island.

This isn't the only Paramount park to have severe security problems.

PKD had several fights break out in Hypersonic's line as well as other places in the park.

Nothing new. This has been going on at parks as far back as I can remember. In fact, I think it may have been worse in the past. My uncle was held up at SFMM while working in a shop. A kid was stabbed at Great America (SC) when I was in Junior High. I haven't really heard much in the way of that kinda thing in the past few years.

How sad for the park that they had to evacuate 10,000 people. I'm sure a large percentage of these people may never return as a result. And, I'm sure they'll tell all their friends and family not to go either.

A group of people once got in my friends' faces after we ran up the hill to S:TE and were able to beat them to the line, nothing happened cept for some shoving.

This was an annual dance competition that PGA held every year. I was in for Castro Valley Performing Arts in 1998 and Tami's Dance Studio in 2000. The competition alway took place in the theater or plaza. Both locations are right next to or underneath Top Gun. I hope that nothing happened to that, but if there are any blood stains on the track they're probably long gone. To believe that some people got into such a brawl for a tiny competition like this. It really would have no meaning to any real dancers and is mainly a free way to get in the park in exchange for performance.

I don't think any other Paramount park have or are recieving the tight security that is showing up here at PGA preceding this incident. If you saw that Carol and Joe gave on ABC, you can really seethe masive security. It looks more like Logaan airport did in January(after all that security, my family has decided to take all our flights out of Providence.)

At Logan airport, the soldiers were surrounding this one guy that was homosexual. They got realy supicious because he was dressed completely as a woman. They thought is was a descise, but that is how strict an suspicious they are now. They even stopped his stored luggage from entering the plane so they could check that.

Once again this goes to show what idiots people can be. There is always someone to cause trouble no matter where you go. I wouldn't blame people that get evacuated from a park not to come back because a few idiots don't know how to behave in public because their mommy or daddy didn't teach them any manners. People that do this kind of thing make me sick..

Well i don't think that this is an annual thing at PGA because that this is sponsored by 106.1 KMEL radio station of san francisco. This dance competition is Hip Hop based.. that is why all these people coming to PGA. I was working there till 3:30pm but i wasn't there at that time.

On our Local News said that every time 106.1 KMEL hosts or sponsors an event anywhere.. i mean anywhere like the Oakland Coliseum and so forth, it always end up with riots and violence. So don't Blame PGA for this crap that happened. 106.1 KMEL should get with this program.

anyone know who was playin? theres quite a few good underground hip hop legends up there
