Festhaus at PKI

I mad a trip to Kings Island for the first time in 8 years last month. I even purchased a season pass because I am such a coaster and theme park fan. I hated to hear about the SOB problems. But, What happened to the German Polka band and German food in the Festahaus?? THat was one thing I was looking to do when I went to PKI. I miss the German food and music in the Festhaus. PKI bring back the real Festhaus.
I hate to say it, but if you want the German food & polka band, you may want to go to BGE. PKI hasn't had any entertainment in the festhaus for years, (with the exception of Winterfest last year). They had a game show in there some years back, but the music videos and trailers are the only thing there now.

I miss the pre-Paramount Festhaus, too.

Anyone at Cedar Fair listening, HMMM??

To my knowledge they never had a polka band in the festhouse at KI.

They did have shows but paramount found out it interupted the foodservice with people only buying before the show, If they got in late they would just watch the show and leave.

The last thing they had in there was the ice show and that lasted about 3-4 years under Paramount.

It did have a full NY style stage setup behind it capable of 32 screens, Weather that exist anymore is beyond me.

I too miss the pre paramount shows period.

Paramount has had a few great shows but the short schedual (June 22- Aug 17th) and fewer shows detracts from what the park could and was.

Heck Keco used to have Bi-Plane dogfights over the park daily and ballon launches on weekends. They've cut way back in the entertainment, even getting ride of characters and such.

Oh well, not a grip, just a observation.

They got rid of the characters by adding Star Trek characters which didn't appeal to anybody and then once they figured that out that everybody was avoiding them like the plague they took 'em out without replacing them with anything.

I can't remember how many times I saw lonely folks at Star Trek outfits just...waving to the crowd. "Hi....come see us....we're friendly....really! Please??"
