I dunno. I always found that weird. Most every ferris wheel I've ever seen loads the whole wheel in one revolution, lets it go for N revolutions, and then cycles...
I hope that loading method is an option in RCT2.
I also hope there are variations on the Ferris Wheel... like a giant wheel, a "Wonder wheel", a double-wheel, etc.
The ferris wheel on RCT is based off of the old Eli wheels parks had. I can only think of a few parks that have still operating. Lakemont Park, Wyandot and a few smaller parks. Most are at carnivals now. They unloaded one seat at a time. I remember Knoebels. It would take about 5 minutes to load and another 5 unload add in the actual ride time it was a long ride.
The newer wheels are much taller hold more people in the cars and can load more cars at once making them better for a high capicity ride.
As for the ride cycle I always thought it was dumb in RCT. All wheels like that I saw load all the cars, do the cycle, then unload and reload. Maybe RCT 2 will fix this.
How long does it take for a peep to get on and off the ferris wheel running 1 revolution anyway?

I've been wanting to try a double ferris wheel for a long time. Here's the kind Spryboy was taking about this is Arrow Guys model site: http://www.angelfire.com/oh4/tk173/modelsmenuindex.html

It's amazing what you can build when you set your mind to it. Pretty amazing stuff!

I hate them, I generally use them for theming in rides like the runaway mine train.
They make an excellent mining wheel.

"How do you do it?"
"Do what?"
"Manage to look so calm and relaxed after corkscrewing on that thing (Nemesis)"
"Well, it's just kinda theraputic!"
"You're a first class weirdo!"
"Thank-you"
