I rode Runaway Reptar on tuesday and my feet dragged on some yellow cover all the way up the lift. I'm only 6' 2" so I'm not too tall for the ride. Is this safe? Did it happen to anyone else?
Unless they start launching it, why would it not be safe? I'm 5'8" and I could touch it as well.

I'm 6' and I hit my feet on the station when we went flying over it.
It is a kiddie coaster...It probably was not designed for adults to ride it. LOL!

Is RR any good? How long are the waits and do they let anybody on without a child? Basically, Should I ride it?

It's a good ride, for a kiddie coaster. I went to the media day and atleast rode it 40 times. I think that KI noticed this and figured that all the people that could touch it were mature enough not to do it on purpose. So I should hope u guys will quit?

When we were walked back to RRRRC one morning they asked us to raise our feet while ascending the lift. It was a great ride. It would be pretty thrilling for a child. I liked it.
Reptar isn't really a kiddie coaster - its a junior coaster. Taxi Jam at PKI or Jr. Gemini at CP - those are *kiddie* coasters.
I am also in the 'feet dragging' camp. I'd say they know taller riders feet would drag, that's why there is a nice soft yellow padded surface instead of the metal grate platform all the way accorss. You will also note yellow padding on the couplers between the cars so your head doesn't have an unpleasant conversation with one.
All you have to do is raise your legs on the lift if it scares you. It may be a family coaster, but the seats are very accomodating. For reference the height range to ride is that thou shalt be between 44 and 76 inches, so not exactly a kiddie ride.
BTW: Don't just hit it once for the coaster count, the front and back actually do offer totally different experiences. the front is all visuals and footchoppers the back is all fast and a bit jerky. It actualls takes on a life in the backseat, kinda like an SLC without those pesky bizare inversions.
I had the pleasure of going up for a PR event wednesday night and getting about a dozen or so rides back to back. I do have to say it is actually a fun ride. I also got to experience a variety of seats, and got at least three different ride experiences from it. ------------- ---- David Bowers Mayor, Coasterville
I think that sounds dangerous, what if your foot got caught somehow, what would break first! Ohh I don't even want to think about it.
------------- What the mo K!?!
Caught on what? I'm sure they've put a lot of throught into the (non)problem.
Its just a little weird. I'm sure it doesn't really pose a safety problem, but still......
Anyways, its a great ride, and if you get a chance, by all means, go for it.

I thought it was pretty safe, but I wanted to point out that it was a little weird. I waited for about 15 minutes to ride it. Then I went over to the Beast and rode it three times in a half hour.
