feeling the g's...tips

The past year it seems that I have become immune to the feeling of inversions. With BDK, Mind Eraser, and Flashback (boomerang) at my home park, inversions are hard to miss. I wish I could feel this again, for I loved Talon and Laser two years ago, which I think did me in.

I was wondering if any of you had the same problem, or if you could help me feel the inversions. Any help or tips are appreciated.

I lost my hat on Poison Ivy. How pathetic.

At PKI I had lost my scence of airtime, I got it back after going to LeSourdsville Lake. I don't know I bet after the off season you'll get your feeling back. It could be a mental thing too.
It's rather normal for your body to adept to the G-forces if you encounter too many of them. This results in you not feeling them. Just take a break for a few weeks, and you'll feel the G's like never before. That's about the only advantage of off season as well.. ;)

You can try holding your head a few inches away from the seat, but only try this on smooth coaster. Head-bashing at your own risk! Looking to the side may help as well.. Good luck mate!

Close your eyes. Since your not using one of your senses, the others will gain some strength. It really works! You'll feel airtime in places you would never expect!

TN - It's not hard to loose the sense of airtime at PKI.... there isn't any to begin with ;)

I thought the same way about Raptor two years ago, I ride the coaster around 30 times a year..... why doesn't this feel the same?
I began relaxing while riding it, holding my hands in front of me, like I was taking a loop on on the Carousel. I, now, enjoy my bird again.

Don't go to parks so much. That's the only way to avoid the desensitization. It's sad but true. I've decided to only go to my home park two or three times this year to keep the thrill, though much of it has already been lost.
Lose your sense of humor so that you don't get too weighed down.

I've found that, at least on the Villain, sitting in the back row and looking backwards throughout the ride makes it FAR more intense, especially when cresting the first hill :)

About feeling G forces...the only way i find that helps to feel them again is to ride a coaster with stronger G's. MF felt quite strong to me, but i had only ridden coasters with a max of 4g's before MF...so naturally, that .5 made a difference.

As for airtime, there is always something out there that does the trick. Back row on MF gives alot on the first drop, and the last time i rode H:XLC, i managed to escape "un-stapled"....and that my friends, was *insane* going over the top.

As for inversions, they lost my intrest a while ago. I like loops and zero g rolls though. Thats kinda why i wish PKD would invest into a intamin hyper of some sort...even a junior would do.

I know this will sound odd but I find by slowly letting my breath out on a drop [and especially a launch] I feel an increased sensation of the negative Gs.
