Favorite Woody

Timber Wolf Is My favorite. It is also the Best woodie that I have been on. I can imagine that I will be on a better woodie but it will never take away the timber wolf as my favorite. Georgia Cyclone is a close second.

#1 Steel-Incredible Hulk
#1 Wood--Timber Wolf
Kennywood's Jack Rabbit
-John Miller's greatest work
-Kennywood's Crown jewel
-Undisputed King of Airtime
"Saying that, I have to say that of the woodies I've ridden the Gemini is my favorite. She was the first coaster I've ever conquered. "

Well, that would work except Gemini isn't a woodie, hehe. It's a steel tracked Arrow Runaway Mine Train gone crazy.

That said, the Riverside Cyclone is currently my number one woodie. I've ridden quite a few wooden coasters and this one still seems to beat all of them. Kinda strange.

I'm like kush3977. I like wooden coasters, but I really have not been on too many good ones. Go steel!
SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB :) get my drift!? Ride it if you get the chance!

The THUNDERBOLT! This ride is just awsome. I have also noticed some grat airtime this year.

It occurs after the drop out of the station into the turn and down the second drop up into the lift hill. You have to be in the front to really notice it but it gives more airtime then the Jack Rabbit!
I would have to go with The Beast as the best Woodie. SOB is a really close second. i think it will the best as soon as they get three trains going on it but only with one the wait is long and i don't like waiting 4 to 5 hours for SOB. The Beast has the overally package. In the night it would be The Beast hands down. Nothing beats The Beast at night.
I have yet to ride SOB yet, I'm sure it's a great ride but here would be my top five.
#5 Beast, PKI
#4 Racer, Kennywood
#3 Even thought it isn't a true wooden, Gemini, Cedar Point
#2 Mean Streak, Cedar Point
#1 Thunder Bolt, Kennywood

Not the longest, fastest, tallest, or most intense, just the best!
1. Shivering Timbers
2. Villain
3. Great White
4. Beast
The Great American Scream Machine at SFoGeorgia is my favorite woody, not only do you get great air time on all of the hills from the first to the last, but the drop is just big enough to frighten the bejesus out of you but gentle enough to bring your Grandmother on. It dosn't rough you up or through you from side to side, it just goes out and comes back. It is also the most beautiful ride in the park especally at sunset, the L shaped track gives me goosebumbs. On top of all that it was my first "Real" roller coaster.
SoB is the best
with THe Beast a CLOSE second
I, (being a die hard Point fan) love the Mean Streak. It has such a good first drop and the rest of the ride is awesome. I love the combination of positive and negatice g's on this ride. Plus the designers were afraid of making it a bit rough, which is another neat feature of the ride, not to mention the countless times it weaves in and out of its own structure, plus the view from the top of the hill is incredible, all o these features make it the best woodie on the planet.

You'd think by that description that you've never been on another woodie, but your track record states otherwise. To each, his own, I guess.

Ghostrider! By far the best wooden coaster in California and one of the best in the world. The famous third drop is coaster heaven!
The Rattler at Fiesta Texas before they shortened the drop and reduced the speed. 6 people broke there nech on it. Need I say more.

THE BOSS.

Now, I hate the fact that I've only been on three wooden coasters, but hopefully that will change this season with the addition of SFGAm, SFOT's beasts.

p.s.- i am the only person that dislikes beast?

Punk, yes, I think you are the only one who dislikes the Beast. Since it is my favorite coaster of any kind, (wood or steel) I would like to know what you dislike about it.

*note*
I have no intention of starting a flame war, I just want to know. Feel free to e-mail me if you do not want to post response here.
