Favorite Lift Hill

i think the best lift hill is raging bull its the bomb
Blue Streak at CP. The lift hill just has the look and sound of a classic coaster. Whenever I ride it, as the train comes onto the lift, I hear that classic "PTC-chain-dog-clink-noise," look up at the cupola topping the hill, and think "Wow, this feels nostalgic." Am I'm not even old enough to feel coaster nostalgia! Now, if only the trains were still old-fashioned, too!

I agree! Maybe I'm weird because of it, but I love the sound of a lift hill, especially of Arrows and PTCs.

Coasters...the best natural buzz available.
Ok, I love Millenniums lift just the way it is. Its a great thrill shooting out of the station (especially in manual mode), it gives you just a few seconds, or so it seems, to get amped up and then when you start cresting that hill, no matter who you are your adrenaline goes sky high. The problem with slowing the lift down is the anti-rollbacks. As we all know, they are not the typical rollback, they are magnetically held up by very small wheels that run on the bottom of the train on the lift track. The wheels basically roll up the lift, with *I think* copper plating rubbing together to give a current, which impart holds the chain dogs up. As soon as the train slows down, the current loses strength and the dogs come down, making a terrible sound hear throughout the park, which is not something CP really wants.
- I tried my hardest to describe in detail - but RideMan may want to clarify anything that I messed up.

Call me crazy, but I love the backwards lift on Boomerang.
I like Superman: Ultimate Escape's lift hill.

"God gave me a wake up call," RelientK-"Wake Up Call"
MF because of the sheer speed, but Raging Bulls lift because it is slower and it gives you a great view of Great America!

Millennium Force all the way!

Me too! I like how the people get smaller and smaller. However, Incredible Hulk still has the best lift by far.

my FAVE is MAGNUM espesially AT night!!
I'd have to go with Raging Bull, also because of the length and view of Great America...

Thr lift hill of Dragon mountain at marineland is pretty cool it goes up the side of a mountain and you are only about 2 or 3 feet off the ground.
My vote goes to the lift hill of Superman: Ride of Steel @ SFA. It's just the right speed. Not too fast, like everyone says of MF, and not too slow as to make it boring. Also, unlike B&M's hypers, the left seat of SROS has nothing next to it giving you an unimpeded view right off the edge of the rolling stock. At the top, you can see every single ride in the park.

Is it just me or does Hypersonic look like one of those coasters you would see on Looney Toons?
Kumba, it is cool going throught the loop that encircles the hill, not to mention the beauty of BGT
The cable lift on a Boomerang, dangling down. Will you slip out?? ;)
