Favorite Hypercoaster Co.

Intamin. Love that non-inverting corkscrew.

Peace, Love, and Rollercoasters.........we need more of all three.
Hypers ridden:
Magmun (Arrow)
Raging Bull (B&M)
S:ROS @ SFA & MF (Intamin)

Now, Raging Bull is my favorite coaster, but admittedly, I dont think that it is a better designed coaster than the Intamins I've ridden. More interesting than either alone, but if you were to take the island turnaround of MF and put that on S:ROS (SFA) you would have a great coaster....oh wait, they've already done that on S:ROS (SFNE). I hope you can guess who I'm leaning towards.

Hmm. I'd have to say Morgan, purveyors of sweet, patented Morgan Air (TM).

I have yet to ride a B&M hyper, but most every B&M I've been on since '98 seems way too.....orchestrated. Nothing has that 'out-of-control' feeling anymore.

Intamin COULD change my mind--if they built a coaster loaded with nasty bounces (like MF's hop by the loading station). Yeah, that's the ticket. A bunch of those hops all tangled amidst each other with a few crossovers. :)

Intamin beats out all the competition!

Since when does *any* Morgan contain that out-of-control feeling? ;) I don't think any hyper ('cept maybe SFDL RoS ending) has any out of control feeling, but Morgan probably the least. What do you feel is out of control on the Morgan's?

Millennium is spelled with two N's ;)
A year ago I would have said B&M because of Raging Bull but after SROS I'll go with intamin.

I can't wait to stand in line...
Please. the origonal will always be the best. therefor my awnser is arrow. You cant beet the airtime on magnum (except for pheonix at knoebles. That is sweet.). Also can you say steel phantom. That is trulely one of the best coasters ever made and its by arrow and its a hyper.
Well, I have only ridden 4 of the 5 manufacturers. On the coasters I have ridden I would have to rank them in the following order.

1. Raging Bull - B&M
2. Millennium Force - Intamin
3. Magnum XL-200 - Arrow Dynamics
4. Goliath - Giovanola

I was only able to ride the force 2 times during my stay. Maybe this year I will be able to ride more than that.

B&M ! smooth, fast and the most unique. Every moment is a treat. But if arrow made a standard hypercoaster now , i bet it would rule.
The smoothness of Morgan makes Morgan my pick!

Morgans can get a little shimmy if you give 'em time. I should know, living by their first hyper (WT) and all. The trains tend to get looser late at night, as many coasters do.

Of course, your ride varies from train to train, too. If you watch the trains maneuver through the turnaround, you can usually figure out which one is the loosest that day.

I wouldn't say it's completely out of control, but it absolutely doesn't have that contrived, forceless feeling.

I rode Wild Thing for the first time in 2000. I barely had any airtime at all. I also did Steel Force and Mamba in 2000 and those actually have airtime on the bunny hills. WT's just kinda "made it back to the station" because the block brakes were on so extremely tight.

Playa, have you done any other
Morgan hypers? I found the ride experience is greatly enhanced with each hyper they built (ie, Steel Force is better than Wild Thing, Mamba is better than Steel Force).

About the "forceless feeling.." Which coasters that you've ridden have that feeling?

Well, my hypercoaster experience is pretty limited: Magnum, MF, and SROS (SFDL). I must say that the Intamin hypers (and Giga) were two of the most unbelievable rides I've had. Gotta give this edge to Intamin. I hope to ride the SFNE superman, as well as Nitro this year, so I'll finally be able to chime in on a B&M hyper.

I have been on hypercoasters made by Arrow Dynamics (Desperado), B&M (Apollo's Chariot), and Giovanola (Goliath).

My vote will have to go to B&M, especially since Apollo's Chariot is my favorite steel coaster.
B&M and arrow dynamics All the way!!!!:)
My hypercoaster track record only includes the Raging Bull and the two CP ones (I don't count the SoB as a "true" hyper). But judging from that and from the many other manufacturers' rides I've ridden, I have to go with B&M. Arrow is certainly too rough to be on the same page as the Swiss companies, and I like the RB's layout much more than the MF and the Nitro looks good as well. I think the MF would have been better if designed by B&M. But this could all change after I ride the Titan...
My choice is F all of the above with the exception of Giovanola, and that's only because I have never riden one of there coasters. I think all the companies incorparate many different elements into there design and it makes them hard to compare and I love them all. That's IMO.
You can't consider MF a hypercoaster, because its not a hypercoaster. Millennium Force is the best giga coaster(I have ridden Steel Dragon). My favorite hyper would have to be Magnum XL-200 so I would have to say Arrow Dynamics. Intamin makes the best Giga coaster. Arrow is the most old fashioned and the most fun. I don't like Arrow's looping coasters that much but their Hypers are amazing. Steel Force is the almost identical to Magnum but it took Morgan 8 years to copy the beloved Magnum.
Intamin, by far. The evidence is clear. SROS was delcared the best roller coaster in the world. Manufactured by Intamin. Not Raging Bull, not Apollo's Chariot, not Magnum. But SROS.
(...You might want to update your track record then, Go Full Force.)
