I suspect you may have already seen this, but it's even getting news coverage in the kicker slot on locals.

Hysterical. That was similar to my dad's reaction on Wild Maus at BGW a few years ago.

Awww...what a nice dad to get on the rides even if he doesn't like them...and TWICE for that matter!

I like him trying to put his hands up. Too funny.

Looks like he was trying so hard to enjoy the ride. Love his expressions.

A young couple was riding the Screamin' Swing at Dixieland (GA) when we were there earlier this year, and the young man had a similar reaction. I was walking back around to the entrance for a re-ride, and the kid asked me "you're not going to do that again, are you?" I replied, "yes, this operator lets me keep some space between the bar and my gut, so I can get exceptional floatage". Pretty sure he thought I'd lost my mind... ;~)

Also, pretty sure it happened LONG ago.... :~P

Rollergator, what happened long ago? That you lost your mind? We knew that. ;)

I'm not a huge fan of the screaming swing. I will ride it if someone else wants to ride it, but on my own? No thank you. And it took me quite a few years to even ride it the first time.

I love Screaming Swing rides! So simple, yet so exciting!

Yeah. I love the screamin' swing as well. I'd take it over a giant frisbee of any design.

I've never been on one. something I'm dying to do though!

My Beautiful wife, Julia, is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

Is a Giant Frisbee ride like Maxair/The Claw/etc?

I don't mind the motion of the Screaming Swing at all and actually found that part quite fun. However, I'm (oddly) afraid of heights. To feel SO free and facing the ground like that...I don't HATE the swing, but I would just rather NOT.

Now, a Ferris wheel...that is blatant, irrational terror. Lol

Claw, KG's Fandango, Dorney's Revolution, etc. are various manufacturers' versions of a "Frisbee". The Giant models are Huss, and only at CP and KI (Maxair/Delirium)....oh, wait CW's Psyclone is mondial, and that's a super-sized model as well...although I think a little smaller than the Huss.

Kennywood just put in some sort of giant frisbee as well, but I'm not sure who made it.

I have a tough time deciding which I like better between the Screamin' Swing and the Giant Frisbee. maXair and Skyhawk are both neck & neck for me. But Skyhawk during coastermania ERT... that take the cake ;)

I call Cedar Point my home park even though I live in the Chicago Suburbs.

Yeah, yeah...rub it in. Lol

I find the Swings to be thrilling and the frisbees relaxing. I've said it before and I'll say it again: give me a pillow and an unlimited ride cycle, and I could easily nap for 45 minutes on MaXair.

I love the swings but have yet to brave MaXair. I can ride most spinny rides and I love the disc-os, Cosmic Chaos and such. Is the experience similar? Something about that swing and spin combo just intimidates me. I can't ride Monster because of that.

I think the dad in the video secretly enjoyed his 2nd swing ride.

The giant Frisbees at Kings Island and Cedar Point make me want to throw up. I find The Claw at Hersheypark and Fandango at Knoebels a lot of fun with no sick feeling afterward. I don't recall riding any other Frisbee rides at the moment.

I dunno about that, Travis...I still sometimes wanna boot when I ride The Claw.

Well, I probably couldn't ride The Claw more than once or twice without barfing, but one ride on the giant Frisbees and I am done for the day on anything else. That kind of sucks, because their size and power make them really fun rides.
