I was checking out the forums over at Danimation when I came across some rather sad news about an incident that happened last september on Batwing.
According to a link to an article I found on Maryland online there was indeed a fatality on Batwing in which a 16 year old female apparently died after riding the coaster, the victim in fact had a connective tissue known as Marfan syndrome resulting in a tear to her aorta which is a common complication for people suffering with the disorder.
I would post a link but don't know how to do it but the original post and related link to the Maryland online article can be found in the Danimation forums in the rumor section in the topic titled Batwing incident? .It's sad when something like that happens especially at your homepark, but of course the park has assured the public that Batwing is indeed a safe ride and the girl's death was the result of a pre- existing condition & not a malfunction of the ride itself.
Then let's wait until we have something in the mainstream press before we talk about it.
