Fastlane For Slow Rides @ SFGA

I have a question why doesnt six flags offer a fastlane pass for all rides, it seems as if they only offer the pass for like 3 rides a SFGA which makes me mad also wouldnt it make sense to offer an all year pass for S:UE

Is that Six Flags Great Adventure or Six Flags Great America that you are writing about?

S:UE? Thats the impulse at SFWoA.

Mass confusion going on up in here. :)

I'm thinking that since neither of the SFGA parks (NJ and IL) even *has* an S:UE, that a pass for a ride they don't have would NOT *sell like hotcakes*...(OR pancakes either)...;)

Rollergator, you're splitting hairs here as S:UE at SFGAm is V2, but I'm sure you knew that. Of course it's also possible that he's talking about S:UF. IMO, too many different Superman and Batman rides can be very confusing.

Back to the topic - the cost of additional personal would be high as you would need at least 1 additional attendant at the entracnce to each Fast Pass Line. Also, it's one thing to offer it on a few rides, but the bad PR from having it on every ride could have a very negative effect on attendance.

I know the two are *approximately* the same, but if there was S:UE on one side of the "midway in my mind", and V2 on the other...I'd be in line for V2 *every* time...the launch just seemed THAT much better, second only to H:XLC...while some say the duration of acceleration makes all the difference, for me it's all in the power of the "thrust"...:)

FWIW, I despise virtual queueing in all formats except for those that are *free* and *easy to use*....proof that Disney still comes up with a great idea once in awhile...;)...

edit: and in FL, we have enough STAFF to make those systems work with minimal problems to the *standing line*....no SF park I've been to does that...

First off I think he meant S:UF at SFGAm. That aside, the fastlane system just started last year. They are not gooing to have it available for all rides the first year. They had about 4 or 5 different coasters on the list, along with a few regular rides, including a couple of water rides. I'm sure they will add a couple more every year.
Besides the fact that you constantly need someone at the entrance to the fastlane, not all que lines have a way for the exit to connect to the entrance anywhere, let alone close enough to make the fastlane effective. You don't want to wait 30 min when you paid 2.50 to jump ahead in line. Also, some people get pissed off seing u jump right ahead when they've waited for a long time. It is a new system that six flags was testing out, and I see it expanding in the future.
I use fastlane alot at SFGAm. I hope they change Fastlane so you dont have to pay like at Disney or Universal ect you just put your ticket in a slot or scan it or whatever and a ride time comes out that I think would be a smart thing for Six Flags. I hope this year they have SM:UF and Deja Vu and Viper on Fastlane.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Fastlane at SFGAm started during the 2001 season.

Coasterdude is right, Fastlane will be starting it's third season at SFGAM.

I'm Sorry i meant Superman Ultimate Flight @ Six Flags Great America i was rushing to make the post. The Fastlane Pass was a help during my last visit to SF. Nobody really got an attitude. They wanted to know where to get one. I turned alot of people on to Fastlane that day
