fantasy leauge roller coasters?

Just thinking it would be kind of fun to run a fantasy league roller coaster game. You could draft and trade roller coasters etc. The one thing (and most important thing) left to figure out: How would you score it?

Mamba;The inspiration for SD2K. It doesnt get much better than that. Come to the Midwest;and ride the most underrated coaster in the U.S.

There might be a way to do it by statistics or you could make it like an online card game(sort of like magic). You could get cards that had coasters on them and they would have powers(creature cards). Then you could have company cards to upgrade your coasters(you could put an B&M on a CCI or something like that and it would gain power). And you could have parks be like lands. I know this idea could use some imporving but I think something like this would be very cool.

Actually a card game like that does seem quite interesting and possibly it could be very fun.

Could be a good idea, but try thinking of it more in terms of fantasy football.

In fantasy football you have a team, in this you would have a park. In fantasy football you have positions on a team that need to be filled (ie quarterback, center, linebacker, kicker, etc.), in this you would have ride types (ie hypercoaster, inverted coaster, launched coaster, wet ride, flat ride, etc.). Easy rules would be that you can only have one of each type, like only on hyper allowed. That way we wouldn't have people making drafts like say, " I choose Millinium Force, Nitro, Magnum, and Apollo's Chariot.

This could be cool.

not to be mean, but thats the worst idea ive ever heard of... I say this with a smile on my face.

While it's an interesting idea, there's nothing dynamic about roller coasters. Once they're built, that's it. It's not like they suddenly go from 200' to 250'. Fantasy sports involve statistics that change week by week. There's no way (at least, no way I can think of) to convert that to coasters.

One has to wonder what's next though. Fantasy sports were obvious, but now we're into fantasy Survivor for God's sake. If the guys who created the internet could only see where it's gone... ;)

Do it by fake ridership and/or their "approval" rating from riders for that week and/or month that would be controlled by the league. Also for rides you are allowed a certain dollar amount and can get a limited number of rides per type so everyone has a chance.

Just thought of an idea. Score it by increase in number of buzzers who list it on their track record. You'd somehow want to incorporate the quality of the ride too. Like someone loving a coaster should be worth more than if someone rode and hated a coaster, even if he only rode them once each.

Points can be determined by number of riders per hour. If the coaster breaks down and is closed then it would act like an injury to a player.
