Family feud and lawsuits behind struggle for control of Holiday World

The park built by generations of a family is now splitting a family apart. Will’s widow, Lori Koch, and brother Dan Koch are fighting for control of the family legacy. She wants to pass Holiday World on to her three children. Dan Koch, a lawyer from Florida who once ran the park, says he now pines for a return. The two have quit talking to each other. She fired him as interim president and kicked him off the company board. He said her demands could destroy the park.

CoasterBuzz self-references aside, Santa Claus really could use a decent breakfast place besides the Old Nick buffet. I think the closest place to get pancakes is the Denny's in Dale.

^I wonder if Wendel's is still closed... it was weird yet special. So I went to lunch and got a skillet with pancakes on the side because of this topic. The pancakes weren't that good. I'll try again tomorrow - at a different place.
But my most exciting food news today was finding the elusive Lays Sriracha chips at a local 7-11. I had looked in about 10 stores in the last few days.
They were ok I guess.

^A new flavor for Lays chips, not too different than regular spicy/hot chips. They had a contest to come up with a new flavor. I think Sriracha is going to be the winner out of the 3 finalists. Sriracha is a spicy sauce, commonly used on Asian food.

I rarely post on the forums these days but please take a minute and think about how you're presenting yourself in your posts. I've never been to Holiday World, most likely I'll never get there but it saddens me seeing you post in the manner that you do. I have no interest in what is going on within the Koch family, nor should I but I would suggest talking through your thoughts and grievances with friends or family rather than air it in public like this - family issues are never worthy of public speculation.

Dan, I think your presence on the site has been largely inappropriate, despite your seemingly good intentions. Nobody here should be taking sides in a family matter. That you continue to plead your case here is like I said, inappropriate and sonewhat unprofessional.

Dan, I wish you all the best and hope to see you again at the park, even if you are there as a guest.
After Will died, I was amazed at how you stepped in and took things over for a while. I have the utmost respect for the Koch family and when Will died, we all mourned. Whatever happens with the legal stuff (I haven't really been keeping track) it definitely won't affect the park and we will keep going every year. At least I will be. :)
