Faller Models

I ordered the Faller Top Spin Model in mid-October and it just came in about a week ago. I gave up after it didn't arrive in three weeks. During that time and now I have bought a $200 Palm Pilot, PS2, and 3 games. I don't know if I should still buy it. What do you guys think?

I bought two faller models...the Wild Maus & the log ride, and I have a lot of fun putting them together. I bought them about 5 months ago and i'm still working on them. They require a lot of patience & precision. The glue and plastic is not at all as forgiving as the structure for Screamin Serpent's structure as an example. Plus you're going to have to buy a motor pack if you don't already have it, plus the glue & cutters, etc... So, look to spend at least another $25 - 35 on your faller model.

I guess maybe you should weigh out your financial options before buying it. I think faller models are a lot of fun.

Just to show you how realistic the faller models are - take a look at this. Here's the faller Wild Maus model that I'm building:

Here's a link to the full-sized version of the ride in Japan - only it's got a twin sitting next to it!

I would have a lot more fun with a couple Faller models then I would with a palm pilot or a video game. :)

If you can afford them and enjoy building models then buy them.  Faller's models are very high quality.

All of the Faller line of kits are very well engineered and executed. They are also produced in small runs.A three to six month wait on a back order is not unusual. So if you see something you would really like to have ORDER IT! You may not have another chance at it. I've bought kits on the secondary market that go for 50% or higher than the original list price. When somebody says "out of production" the bidding goes through the roof.
