Failed Council Bluffs developer announces plan for park in Nebraska

Steve Minard wants to build a theme park. His original plan, announced in 2002, was to build the park north of Omaha's Qwest Center. Then, he moved his plans across the river, working with Council Bluffs, Iowa, to put the park there. Friday, Minard and U.S. Rep. Lee Terry announced a new resort community named Port Nebraska.

Does anyone know where this will be in relation to Omaha and Lincoln? I know it is somewhere in the middle, but which would it be closer to?

"There'll be Champion Bay -- that's the athletic tournament district for regional tournaments." What exactly does this mean? Will there be a baseball stadium? Football stadium? Basketball arena?

I think it looks like a big money maker if it is all carried out correctly, but they all look that way until they run out of money during construction. . .
