Facade window at Universal Studios Florida honors Pulse victims

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

A special window honoring victims of the Pulse shooting has been installed above a street scene at Universal Studios Florida. The names of Jonathan Camuy, Anthony Laureano, Xavier Serrano, Shane Tomlinson, Luis Vielma and Jerald Wright are written in gold inside a heart with wings. Type at the top of the window reads Heartfelt Universal Couriers. Below the heart symbol reads "Carrying messages of peace, love & hope to the stars."

That's a great thing to do. I always wonder when I'm looking at those things at Disney and Universal who all those people are that have the fake businesses and stuff named after them. I assume that they're all employees or people who contributed to the park. Nice to have one to remember these guys.

Can't speak for Universal, but the windows along Main Street at MK honor people who have made considerable contributions to the parks. The Musical Quill - Lyrics and Libretto by X. Atencio window honors X. Atencio, who wrote "Grim Grinning Ghosts" and "Pirate's Life For Me", among many other contributions, for example.

It actually made me cry when they all lit their wands for the employees killed at Pulse, and I'll admit, this got me a little teary too.
