FAB-O-RAMA, the "Story of Morey's Piers, Planet Earth's Greatest Seaside Amusement Park" was released in New Jersey today.
Its quite a good book, 192 pages in full color, and is a tour of the Wildwood Boardwalk, and its founders, and leads into the Morey Family's entry into the business in 1969. What makes it special is that in addition to the vast historical pictures, construction pics, and dynamic Doo-Wop style hotels, they have an entire section mentioning every full time member of the company, their job, and the importance of the whole employee group working as a team with the family. Quite Amazing.
The book features many pics of the incredible custome rides and waterparks built on the beach, and it shows the sheer size of the piers ans waterparks, and how they have survived and thrived for decades.
Something never done in any of the books I have (and I have a ton of park books), is a section on future plans and concepts. Very ingenious stuff. The book will be available next week for sale in the new 40th Anniversary Store on Mariner's Landing Pier.
The books officially kicked off the 40th Anniversary, 'A Wild Ride' and 'Fab-O-Rama' were just carried by a Human Cannonball across Mariners Landing Pier live on NBC and CBS. Not bad for a 4.5 second ride.
Wow, seriously, did you think no one would notice that you were Agent Johnson logging in from a different name?
