*EXTREMELY GEEKY* Coaster Count Question

Out of sheer morbid curiousity, I know many here keep up with what coaster is their 50th, 100th, 200th, etc. But what I want to know is, do any of you know what your 17th, 53rd, 184th, etc. coasters are? In layman's terms do you know (or care) where each and every coaster you've ridden has fallen?

While I've never taken the effort to plot it out, I'm pretty sure I could tell which coasters were what number in my life (save the ones @ SFoG) just because I always tend to attack parks in a "logical" fashion, avoiding doubling back when possible. Just a dumb question I thought of.

Well, I know every single coaster I've ridden and in what order simply due to the fact that my coaster experience is not too extensive as yet. I haven't been able to do a lot of travelling due to lack of time and fundage, you see....

However, if I ever do get to the point where my coaster count reaches into the hundreds, I can say right now that I seriously doubt that I'd remember the order in which I rode them, or even if I rode some of them! ;)

Um, my coaster count isn't in order. It's only sorted by park.

However, I too, try to attack parks in a logical fashion, avoiding double-backs, starting at the end where lines are shortest in the morning, ending where the are shortest in the evening/night.

Ahh, that explains it ;)

I honestly don't care what coaster is where in my list. And the only ones I can say for sure are:

#90 - Superman: The Escape and #95 - Goliath at SFMM

#99 - Xcelerator and #100 - Ghostrider at KBF

The only reason I know this is because I just rode these last Monday and it was a mission my wife and I were on to get us to 100 each. Her #100 was Goliath.

I'm sure I could figure out my numbers 89-100 because of our trip but, as I said, I really don't care. I just wanna ride... :)

Hm....having just over 100 coasters in my TR, I could probably reconstruct the order given enough time. Well, maybe not the first few, but the most recent 50 or so (all done within the two years) almost certainly. I still can't remember for the life of me whether I've ridden Trailblazer at Hershey.

A rollercoaster? What's that?

I've pretty much got mine figured out, but it's also a short list (around 40). My biggest problem is trying to remember the period between 1970 and 1974 because after my first ride on Blue Streak, I started riding coasters at two parks that are now defunct. Figuring out the names of the coasters at these parks was a bit easier than remembering WHEN I rode them. So those coasters are in my personal track record, but not the year I first rode them.

I do not keep track of how many times I've ridden a particular coaster. Heck, I've been riding Blue Streak and Wild Cat at CP for 32 years. There is no way I could come up with a ride figure, especially since back then, lines were minimal at best, especially on weekdays.

I also just reached my 100th on June 23rd, the Cyclone (the only one that matters ;) ), just 3 days before its 75th Anniversary. Other than that, however, I probably couldn't tell you what coasters were what number, with the possible exeption of the first 3 or 4, and the last 5 or 6.

Yes I do. My only discrepencies are on my first trip to CP when I finally got to ride all the coasters. I don't remember the order I rode them on that trip although I think I have it pretty close. I only had 19 coasters under my belt when I started keeping track so my list would be 100% accurate if it weren't for the potential errors from that trip. I don't think that's too geeky. More geeky are the folks who can not only tell you how many coasters, but how many laps or exact dates. I just keep track of the year I first rode. No exact dates and if I ride it again, I don't update my list or anything like that. My daughter's list is like mine except that we have fun keeping the exact date she first rode a coaster.

For the record:

My 17th coaster was Iron Dragon at CP
My 53rd coaster was Dragon Coaster at Dorney
I haven't hit 184...yet! :)

Don't know and don't care. I think my 100th coaster was in Tampa or Orlando, but I really wasn't paying attention. It might have been Kraken.

I'm stuck on 97. Been stuck there since Xcelerator. It looks like my 100th coaster will be Cornball Express in about 3 weeks. Not a bad way to go! :)

Jeremy, I know this and my entire list in what I think is the correct order. It's not because I'm a coaster geek, but because I'm a list geek. :)

My #17 was Vortex at PKI.

My #53 was Wild Maus at BGW.

I've not been on #184, but my highest number with a 4 in the ones digit is #134 which was Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Over Georgia.

And just for fun, #118 was Gadget's Go-Coaster at Disneyland.

Again, I'm a list geek and have lists of about anything I can think of. I don't know why, I just like them. :)

For me I know like 50-100. But not like 37 or 89 or something. But I could figure it out.

Hmmmm, now at 163 I'd need to think about which is my 150th. I do consider Tremors as my 100th roller coaster and know that Villain is my 50th woodie (which is where my woodie count stands at present). Maybe I should also figure out what my 100th steelie was.......Where did I put my pocket protector and slide-rule, it is time to enter 'THE GEEK ZONE'.......................Engage!

By the time I actually sat down and tried to figure out my count I was well over 150 coasters. I keep my list in alphabetical order with a notation every tenth coaster [250, 260, 270, and so on]. I'm less concerned with the order as I am the total number.

I have been to many parks around the US. I have no idea on what my 119th coaster will be. I have been to pretty much every park on the eastcoast since I'm from Minnesota. I'd like to make one last big coaster trip out to Virgina for BGW & Kings Dominion at the end of August. What should be my 119th coaster? Anyone....
