"Extreme Rollercoasters" DVD

Gettin' in the preseason mode by checking out some fine coaster photos on the 'net when I ran into a DVD I'd never heard about before. It's called "Extreme Rollercoasters" and it's put out by Madacy Entertainment. Couldn't find any information on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, FYE, or even the Madacy site, so I was wondering if anyone owned the video and could offer some insight into what rides are on it, what special features it has, how the editing is, and if the general quality makes it worth a purchase. Any info is appreciated.

I have the Extreme RC DVD and the coasters in the DVD are from SFMM,SFMW,San Diego,PGrtAmer, and Nevada loacations. I got my DVD from Horse Creek Productions 333 Pine Cliff Ct Columbia SC 29209 and the cost is $19.95 include shipping. I think the DVD is pretty good and the editing is good too.
The Madacy Extreme RC DVD has programs that originally aired on The Travel Channel, including 'Coasters of the West.' The quality is very good, considering it comes from Madacy (a company not known for quality).

Some of the coasters included are California Screamin', Goliath, Roar, Stealth, X, and many more. The disc has no special features. However, I think it actually has extra footage that was not presented on The Travel Channel. There is a section about Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad that I do not recall seeing on TV.

I found it at Best Buy for $6.99 (sorry twj :), and I have seen it at a few BB stores. You might want to look for it. I found it in their "Special Interest" section. For that price, you can't go wrong!

Anyone know if it has any other shows besides Coasters of the West, or how much other footage it has that wasn't on the CotW broadcasted shows? I already have the three CotW shows recorded (Terrifying Thrills, Vegas Thrills, Designs of Terror).
i am still waiting on any new DVDs with TTD.

Does anyone know if the qaulity is good for the whole Roller Coaster Adventure series? If it is then I might have to consider shelling out the dough for them... ;)

Can someone tell me if the Extreme Rollercoasters DVD has any other shows besides Coasters of the West, or how much other footage it has that wasn't on the CotW broadcasted shows? I already have the three CotW shows recorded (Terrifying Thrills, Vegas Thrills, Designs of Terror).
Roller Coaster Adventures vol 6 gave me the ultimate birthday present. I flew over to CP last Summer to go on TTD. Arriving the day the cable broke, I spent a day and a half watching the maintenance crew fixing the machine (as well as having some damn fine rides on MF), then finally got my first ride - in the front seat!

This February, along comes the vol 6 video - and there I am in the front seat of TTD! Couldn't believe it! I had no idea anyone was filming the ride for a commercial video, so it was an amazing birthday prezzie. After the launch, it's me again going OTT after the intervening shots of the motor etc. BTW, I'm the one in the white Raging Bull T-shirt (from the first part of my coaster trip). The hands only go up after the launch 'cos I was getting fed up of listening to the "hands down" message! ;-)

The DVD also has front seat POV of TTD, and features a number of other coasters - including SOB. Note that it is a DVD-R disk, and not all players can play these. The chapter stops are pretty random, but I am so pleased to have the footage!

If anyone lives here in Ohio, and is near a MARC's discounters, the 'Extreme Rollercoasters' DVD is priced at $1.99 in their closeout aisle! I believe Marc's drugstore-only chain 'Xpect' in Connecticut may also have the DVD.
Just bought it today on impulse at my local Border's for 9.99. Then I get home, and see this thread...strange...
