Extreme Rides 2003

SFOT is undoubtedly counting the flagpole in Superman's height, then. I really thought Supreme Scream was taller, too, but the KBF site says it's 254 ft. For a while there, I was getting irritated at the notion of Superman's billing as the "tallest of its kind" if that was merely splitting hairs about combo towers vs. drop towers. Now I'm less irritated. :)

I caught the end of it too with SWAT & TTD, pretty cool stuff, also did anyone catch Boy Meets World last night, it was the episode where Cory and Mr Feeney ride the Rocket of Death (or something like that ) Then they get Mr Turner and Eric to hop in and they lock the bars down on them and the roller coaster takes off. Thought that was cool that it "coincided" with the episode last night.

They showed the SFOG Superman on a different show.

Ghettocoaster, what Jimmybob meant was that the show was rebroadcast @ 12AM this morning,so if you didn't stay up late to catch the repeat then I guess your SOL.

Nope, I meant tonight (Friday night) according to Discovery's schedule here. They show it coming on after the Monster Garage shows.

Unless I'm reading that schedule wrong or something... come to think of it, it does seem odd that they're not repeating the earlier shows... hmm - I think their schedule may be "broked" :)

It didn't even show that many "rides". Half the show was on TTD and Swat.

What I found to be rather stupid about the show was the TTD footage, why show the same ride in effect twice when one is just a taller version of the other one? first with Excelerator at KBF,then later with TTD @ CP.

IMO, both rides feel totally different. They do different things, and have different elements and stats. The same could be said when Extreme Rides 2003 showed MF and Steel Dragon in the same show.

Fun show! I want to ride Thrillshot more than ever now. But only three rotations each way on Swat? Oh, well, I guess I'll have to do a lot of re-rides.

Can't wait for the footage of Timberhawk: Ride of Prey, at WW/EV, on next year's edition...;)

I've gotten the Point of life, and can now pass away a happy man!.......

Yeah I saw the boy meet's world episode. I believe the coaster was like a mix of Iron Dragon, and Viper at SFMM, and some loop from some coaster.
I think the show met my expecations. Let's be real, there wasn't a lot of really gee-whiz rides introduced this year. The producers made the best out of what was available, and that included several spinning and launch rides. Maybe 2004 will be different, but I wouldn't expect it with the current economic climate.

Extreme Rides 2003 is not on now (12AM), or after it. Guess their schedule is about as screwy as VH1's.

For some reason I thought this show had already came out with the rest this spring. I saw the last 30 seconds of it last night (with TDD). If anyone sees it's coming on again, let us know!

I have a question for the people who watched the show:

Does it have anything about the Ozark Wildcat or Celebration City in it?

Actually 12 AM friday means Midnight on thursday... 3 hours after the original airing. I agree something needs to be done about our time system, because some channels mean the next day, and some mean the same day when they say that stuff.... :-P
I'm with ya Enfynet, I'm no big fan of Delirium. We have the exact same ride at PCW and I find alot of their other flat rides much better, such as Sledge Hammer (huss giant jump2).

I also think that it really sucks having Canadian T.V. Our travel channel never shows the roller coaster shows, and Extreme Rides 2003 wasn't on the discovery channel either, I was really looking forward to that show. It's a real bummer how they change all the programming for us, there are Canadian roller coaster enthusiast's too ya know!
