Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Tonight on ABC was A man with 4 sons, 2 were adopted, and a daughter! They Lived in Kansas City. One of the sons liked roller coasters. The family was sent to Disney Land! Ty and the other guy, I think his names Paul, Went to a park with a Boomerang roller coaster. For the wall in the room he took a picture of a half loop goin in to a half corkscrew and blew it up and put it on the wall. He also made the visualization that since the backround of the roller coaster was the sky, he painted the rest of the room sky blue. Then for the seats was a roller coaster car. The car only had two seats. Then for the sheets of the bed he put Twisted spin or something like that! It was A really cool room. I would definetly ask for the blue prints if I knew Ty. Another Inspiration by Ty!

Nice thing WOF did with giving them one of OE's old cars. I watched them pull it away. It was so sad, but I want one.

Saw it. Ty told the kid he could sit in the coaster car and watch TV. But who would want to sit in a hard plastic Arrow car, with hard plastic Arrow OTSRs, to watch TV??

I always wonder about the "themed" bedrooms in that show. As often as my hobbies changed when I was a kid, I'd probably be embarrassed of my themed room within a few months. It's just too much. I'd want something a little more neutral.

And Den...that is not even touching the ability to sell the place if the family eventually wanted to without having to have another extreme makeover just to make the home normal.

While I really thought the room was pretty cool. I think I will just stick to models, photos, and posters rather than get a custom made wallpaper like they did.

Yea They create the greatest things and The face of Ty on the Boomerand\g is one of the best they ever did LOL!
As a kid, I would've loved to have had that room especially the OE car. Too bad I missed the show Sunday night, and last night's "How'd They Do That" episode didn't show it.

I wouldn't mind having ANY coaster car in my house, even though I'd personally go for a B&M seat since they are infinitely more comfortable!
B&M? I think I'll take a car from Leap the Dips.
Heck, wouldn't a GCII Millennium Flyer seat be the best? They feel like a love seat anyway. :)

Yeah but there's that seat divider which could get in the way of lounging.

Den, The OE cars are not like the ones you see on some of the mega loopers like Vortex, where the cars are hard plastic. The OE cars were slightly smaller and had padding on the outside of your seats, where on the cars on Vortex would have hard plastic.

I do know one thing about the OE cars is that you can't really put your arms up in those cars, unless you remove the metal bar that is above the side of your seat.

I'll take this thread into a different direction.

When I was watching the show on Sunday I was hoping they might get on the internet and find the Coasterdynamix website and get the kid a nice working model for his room.

The kid would have loved it and it would have been a huge bonus of free advertising for our favorite model roller coaster company.

Why do I hear hear Aerosmith singing "Love in a Rollercoaster" when I look at the coaster car sitting in that boy's room. LOL! Now THAT would be kinky. ;)
After all, there was an episode of CSI on last night with a roller coaster 'accident' where one of the suspects was caught making "love in a rollercoaster" after hours. Unfortunately, I had soccer and had to leave before I saw the ending. :-(
I think Micheal Jackson has a roller coaster car.
