Expedition Ge Force/Intamin Hypercoasters

I recently went to Germany to visit a friend. While I was there I managed to make it to Holiday Park to try out Expedition Ge Force. This coaster blew me away! By far, Expedition Ge Force has the best first drop of any coaster I have ever ridden. It is one of those moments when you go "OH MY GOD!". Throughout the ride you get EJECTED out of your seat about seven times. This is a ride that you don't want to leave your lap bar up too high, for fear that you will get thrown to France. I have heard that this ride gives Superman at SFNE a run for it's money. If Superman is half as good as Ge Force, then I need to book a flight to Boston. This coaster has made me an Intamin fan all the way. Does anyone know where I can find the layouts to Intamin's hypercoasters?
www.badnitrous.com haslayouts of SM:RoS in all three six flags and also has the layout of Millenium Force. They are 3d too!! *** This post was edited by MILLENIUMFORCERULES on 7/30/2001. ***
The people at Intamin are geniuses.
EGF and many other coasters would have never been built without Werner Stengel's coaster engineering expertise; http://members.aol.com/rcstengel/ Click on latest projects to see all the coasters he's worked on.
Layout for SROS- http://ua.coaster-network.com/layouts/sros.html
Great pictures for SROS- www.coastergallery.com

There are some other good sites with good pics of SROS but they escape me at the moment.

Now if I could just find a layout for EGF...;) *** This post was edited by Jammin J on 7/31/2001. ***
(Off Topic) On http://members.aol.com/rcstengel/ they call SFoT "Six Flags Magic over Texas". Just thought it was kind of funny. :)

LOL!
definitely book your flight to boston because S:ROS is the real deal. It really is the best coaster on the planet, better than Nitro, MF, Raging Bull, Magnum or any other hyper i have ridden. S:ROS is an incredible mix between ejector airtime and intense helices. S:ROS has the best airtime, much betterthan any other hyper out there.
I have a question..
I rode S:ROS at SFA this past saturday.Going up the lift we noticed a cable and a chain and,the lift was quieter then any other i had gone up before so,does Intamin use cable lift or,is it actually a chain lift??? I know it will seem like a stupid question but,i'm still learning so,go easy on me please :)

At SFA, the train may be picked up so that it isn't rolling on the dogs or whatever they are, maybe the cable does this.
It is a chain on S:ROS, but a very quiet and fast chain lift. MF has the first cable lift I believe.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Millennium Force and Expedition the only coasters on Earth with a cable lift? I hope more coasters go with a cable lift, much more economic. Not as many parts to break down, quiet, can have a huge lift in limited space..etc...

Millennium and Expedition are the only two with a cable lift that I know of.
Doesn't one of the smaller coasters at PKI have a vertical cable lift?...not sure though.
Yeah, I believe so.

There's always been a little debate over their claim of the "First Elevator Lift" record. I'll ask again: Don't all the boomerangs have elevator cable lifts?

I believe there are certain japenese coasters with chain lifts made in the late 70s and early 80s
