Expedition Everest soft opening

Is anyone a passholder that would be going to the soft opening?

Um...Walt Disney World doesn't have season passes...and when exactly is this soft opening?

Dare I predict that this is yet another "In before close" post? *** Edited 11/5/2005 3:51:27 AM UTC by sirloindude***

Umm, Walt Disney World may not have season passes, but, they do have annual passes. And, yes, they sometimes invite annual passholders to "sneak peek" a ride before it opens to the general public.

As with most Disney attractions, I'm sure Expedition: Everest will have soft openings the closer it gets to the official 'grand opening' in the spring.

Disney World does have a pass. An Annual pass, which is good at all 4 parks for an entire year, since they don't have 'seasons'.

Golden Sho...err...Tower was posting yet more useless information that he saw on Screamscape, which says that Everest may open for AP holders & CMs and then have a soft opening around the end/beginning of this/next year.

If I go in December/January, I hope they have a soft opening then.

I got yer soft opening right here ;)

I am very excited to hear reviews on the ride. I really wish I still lived in Orlando right now.

Even though I still think you are umm-Goofy, Mr Tower, I am publicly apologizing for my name calling the other day. I try not to be that kind of person.

It may help your image around here if you would be less frequent with your topic starting, and when you do start a topic try to tell us a little more info.

Are YOU a passholder? Are you looking forward to the ride? Did you hear something about passholders getting soft opening rides somewhere? If yes, where? Why would EE spark your interest? Could it be that your family goes to Orlando once a year, or just because the parks there intrigues you? Have you been watching construction for this ride? Do you think the ride looks like fun or not?

There is so much more you can write when beginning a topic. To me it sounds like you aren't really interested in EE, and you are just starting a topic to get attention. I am a big brother kind of guy, so here's your attention.

I'm really not trying to be mean or hateful. I offering my help to you. PM me if you need any help.

How long is Expedition Everest?
Look for soft openings somewhere around Feb-March 2006.

And PLEASE read Dexter's post in detail. You've startedmore threads in one week than I have in 6 years! *** Edited 11/5/2005 3:07:02 PM UTC by Peabody***

This link knows more about Everest than the rest of us combined.

If they don't know a length at RCDB, we probably don't either.

Actually Disney does have season passes. It blocks out certain days like all summer ( who wants to go then anyway) and most major holidays ( see comment before). I bought them for my wife and I about 2 years when we were in college. The only other perk you dont get is you still have to pay for parking.

The ride lenght is about 4-5 minutes, from train launch to train pull in.

Don't even expect soft openings anytime soon. The Yeti is still being installed, many effects and show scenes arn't in yet, landscaping isn't done, then once they are all added you have the task of testing and tweaking the system.

When soft openings happen it'll be early next year, followed by annual passholder previews, then an opening probably in April to correspond with AK's annaversary.

EDIT: I recently found out that WDI is doing their damnest to get Everest up in some form for Christmas, let it be CM previews or acutal guests. More as I hear it. *** Edited 11/6/2005 12:17:11 AM UTC by The Mole***
