Expedition Everest

Hello fellow coaster buzzers! Does anyone have any information on the opening of Expedition Everst? I am going to be in WDW the first week of December and was hoping for a soft opening. I know the scheduled date is early 2006. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

As I learned with Space Mountain at DL, do NOT plan your trip around soft openings. Soft openings are just that. It may close, open, shut down at any time, since its still in technical rehearsal. Disney will not announce them and if asked, will give you the official opening date as the date it opens. I was in California 6 weeks before Space Mountain at DL reopened and nothing, no soft openings.

From what I've been reading fron the Disney message boards I follow, Expedition Everest is ahead of schedule. They are saying that there is a slim possibility that soft openings will begin before the end of the year. I am planning a trip in December. I am hoping it will be open but if its not, it won't ruin my vacation.

I am not planning on it being open. It will be the ribbon on my Christmas at Disney if it is open. I am hoping for some fellow buzzer w/ some inside knowledge to give me an idea if it is a possibility or not.

I hope you do get a chance to ride. I'd love to hear all about it. In fact, I had canceled my trip to Florida for the year, but if WVu goes to Florida in a Bowl Game again, we're there.

Keep an eye on the discussion forums at www.wdwmagic.com. There are several CMs who post there who know what's what, and several other people whose "guesses" are right a lot more often than they are wrong.
