Exciting Mild Rides?

Is it possible to build an exciting car ride, cycle railway or those helicopter things. I tried adding tunnels hills and different themeing and got the excitement to around 1 or so. Ghost Trains I can get to almost 5. I know they are low excitement rides but I'm sure the excitement can be there. What are some tips here?

When it comes to car and helicopter rides... you're basically stuck when it comes to excitement.

If you want excitement... build a rollercoaster. That's about all I can say about that.

...But that's just my opinion. Unless it's also someone else's.
I can usually get a car ride to the mid 3's. If I am lucky then I can get it as high as 4. I found that too many tunnels is bad on that ride because the guests have nothing to look at. The other secret is length. I think that it must at least 2min long. Placing it under a rollercoaster or through a forest or other such theming also helps.
Strangely, I got a car ride up to about a 5 in excitement on the harmonic hills scenario (AA/CF). I didnt even think the design was that special. It was kinda long, it may have had a tunnel, but it wove around trees and went near a coaster. I used the old time cars as the vehicles. I'll take a look at it when I get home and give a better description.
the more rides you go past with these types of rides the better. A go-kart track usually isn't that exciting, but after taking mine around an entire park... past tons of rides and especially roller coasters, it had an excitement of 21!
Try and go underground, above ground, next to paths and as close to other rides as you can get, through the inversions of coasters if possible.

I just built a go cart track with a 6 excitement. The thing about was it was very short. I had about 4 station blocks and a regular track on one side and quick turn and straight away to make a short oval. Set the laps to 10 and was good to go.

Excitement points should be taken with a grain of salt. Ever notice how people can't leave the 'boring' Ferris Wheel alone? That being true, doesn't it stand to reason that a low-nausea, low-excitement coaster would also bring in the peeps?

I avoid tame rides as much as possible because the capacity is usually poor--and poor capacity means my peeps aren't paying me fast enough. Instead, I build small, very simple versions of any available coasters and use them to bankroll my more elaborate creations.

Don't believe me? Try this...build any coaster at ground level with as large a station as you need for maximum capacity. Make the first section after it a drop, then add two tight turning drop segments so the track's made a 180-degree turn. Add a small hill or two, an on-ride photo segment, whatever may fit. Finish off with a sharp 180-degree rising turn and a chain segment to pull your train back into the station.

High excitement? No. High capacity? Yes. And just watch your peeps line up for it when it rains...
