Everest off the shelf?

I was pretty sure the rumor couldn't be true, but I was curious to see if anybody could give substance to his claim beyond conjecture.

From what I know, Disneyland's Gadget's Go-Coaster is a standard 207 meter Vekoma family coaster. The Magic Kingdom's Barnstormer appears to be a 335 meter family coaster, but it runs two trains and has a chain lift instead of a tire-drive lift.

Nope. Barnstormer uses tire drive lift as well.

I am 99% sure that Gadgets in Tokyo Disneyland (which also appeared to be another standard Roller Skater model) used a chain lift.

It was either that one or the Roller Skater at Universal Osaka. I remember commenting about that being different, but I'm not 100% which one it was.

Barnstormer is a custom Rollerskater with 3 trains! Granted, 2 trains runs at all time, but seems Disney bought a third train for it, when one of the train is taken out for maintenance. Its use a chainlift, allowing it to operate in the rain without any problems.
Yeah, the Disney mouse has some changes to hide the extra cars, I knew I read that somewhere. But the layout is the same, course I, unlike Rob A (;), ya knows I got nothin but love) said "though slightly modified for themeing purposes".

Same coaster, just Disneyfied to look less normal.;)

Sam: Journey isn't a coaster...rather a slow dark ride with a fast finish.

Um.... how come I haven't heard about this ride? The only problem I can see is the fast finish. I like to savor the moment. Rides should be like a cup of Sanka.

How are we supposed to know why you haven't heard of it? ;)
Mullholland Madness is close to a standard Mack Mouse. But there are slight differences, most noticably a bunny hop missing. Most mice after the quick S curve have 2 bunny hops in a row, but Mullholland only has one drop down and a shallow ramp up.

"EE is an custom designed coaster between Disney and Vekoma. Yes, this is the only current version with this track style, excluding the motorbike coasters."

Actually Vekoma has used this track design in the Junior coasters for years. As you can see in this photo from Flying Unicorn: http://rcdb.com/ig703.htm?picture=2

In this photo the two different track configurations used in Expedition Everest can be seen.

Notice the section to the right of the photo with the single backbone has flat ties just like the Junior coaster. In an interesting side note if you look to the left of the photo, the track is elevated above the backbone. This is very similar to the track on Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom Park in the curves, the greater the track banking, the higher the elevation.

Now take a look at the Vekoma Motorbike track, it has triangular Schwarzkopf like ties. As seen in these photos:

As for The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm it uses a chain lift and it is almost a standard Vekoma Junior coaster except in has a track switch that leads to a spur track that makes a turn that leads to a storage house. At Night all three trains have to be placed in storage and must be placed on same track every night. If they not on the correct storage tracks, then the closers (who probably did it in the first place) have to move all three trains on the correct tracks before they can leave.

In this photo of you can see the lift does not feature pinch wheels (Pacers):

You can see the storage house in this photo:
