Ever Seen a Park from a plane?

When a plane just took off, did you ever see a park?

I've seen SFoT, Opryland when it was open, IOA, and SFKK.

Yea...I saw EPCOT Center when I flew into Orlando Int once. It was pretty sweet.

Son of Beast is rough...so what? That's the way I like it!
My dad saiad he flew overr SFMM!!

-------------
SFMM went from Amusment Park to Xtreme Park. They skipped Theme park :)
If you take off from San Diego, you can see Sea World and Belmont Park. You're really low too, so you can see pretty clear.

I seen a park, but it was not an amusement park.
Yeah I won a contest to fly a Cessna 172 so of course I HAD to fly over PKI. IT was really neat. I have some nice pics of The Beast and other rides.

-------------
It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.
Anytime I fly from Dayton to Cincinnatti I will see PKI as long as the weather is clear.
i flew over CP,Dollyworld,IOA,all the disneyworld parks, and SFWoA. From a plane you cant see MF because it looks like the lake, but you can see everything else. Im not 100% sure it was dollyworld but we were over tennesee and i saw a park im sure about the rest. But at the time i saw SFWoA it was GLP and SWO

I've flown over Cedar Point twice. The first time was from Chicago to Cleveland at night. Absolutely amazing to see at night. The second time was from Minneapolis (from San Francisco and Honolulu) to Cleveland in the late afternoon. What made that one interesting is that we were making an approach from over Ontario, so I could see Cedar Point out one window and Cleveland the other. The only distinguishing features were Space Spiral and Millennium Force.

When i was flying out of San Jose i got a really good veiw of PGA.
If you go off from San Jose airport to wherever, chances are you go right over PGA. I'd say that the airport is only a couple miles from the park.
whoa, someguy, when i was posting, you didn't have yours up yet. Heh heh. ;)
Yes, while taking off from the Dallas airport, you get a perfect view of SFOT!
If you've ever flown into Louisville, SFKK is directly under the airport so I got a good view of their park. I've also seen SFMM on the way into LAX, but it wasn't the clear look I got in KY.

Some friends in OH have an ultralight (that was quite the rush when we got to do that this summer). They live about 20 miles from CP, but I don't think they've gotten over the Point yet. When they do, I WILL insist on getting some pics. *** This post was edited by gatorwoodie on 8/12/2001. ***
I too have flown over Cedar Point (quite a sight!) I could only make out Power Tower, Breakers Tower and the Colussium. And a few months ago, while returning from New York, there was a delay in landing at Pittsburgh International, so we had to circle around the city about 6 times, thus I got to fly over Kennywood 3 of those times!

Saw Kennywood coming into Pittsburg on a plane. It was back when Steel Phantom was around. Man, seeing that drop into the ravine was amazing!

I forgot to say that I also saw KBF before Ghostrider was built. Windjammer was quite a pretty sight, too bad the ride wasn't.

I know I've flown over Cedar Point (Kalamazoo - Cleveland) but I must have been looking in the wrong place, because I missed it completely. It was at night, off-season, pre-Millennium Force, so I probably didn't miss much, anyway.

When I went to IOA in Feb of this year, I saw IOA at night with the five islands could be seen. I saw the entrance of DD, because the plane was about 2,000 feet above the ground.
