Ever rollbacked on a launched coaster?

I too was stopped on the E-Brakes for FoF. While our "wait" on the brake strip, i asked about why we were stopped. they said that on the computer, it alarmed them that there wasnt enough power, and the train wouldnt make it(rollback)so they stopped us before it could happen.

*Almost* my first rollback too....

Chuck, FOF is actually quite fun to ride by yourself with every single light on. I foget the figure but i believe the average launch on a Premier Spaghetti Bowl Coaster is about 3 MW of power.

Mine was because someone decided to itch their neck during launch by sticking their hand under the restraint (still while it had OTSR) and the ride op at the end of the station saw it and promptly stopped us.

Wood Rules!

This happened the first time in 1999 I went to PKI on Flight of Fear when they e-stopped us and went halfway through the first inversion. Really strange feeling, but fun at the same time. We got a pass to go up the exit to ride any ride of our choice. Drop Zone was having difficulties at the time, so we decided to get our first ride on Face/Off, front seat! We went back to FOF later in the day with no wait and reriding about 10 times. Boy, was that worth it! :)

Thats what you get for ditching Great Adventure ;)

I've seen what you may call a rollback or e-stop on Incredible Hulk. My train arrived in the station and the restraints would not automatically release, so the attendants had to come around and manually release each car's restraints. The other train was ascending the tire lift area and was going to go through the launch until I heard a sort of squeaky tire-friction noise. After leaving the station I noticed that the train was at the very top of the launch tube just sitting there. Later the tires spun backwards and moved it down to the start of the launch tire section and followed through to launch the train. That was the closest I have been to being on a sort of 'roll back,' as it was the dispatch just after mine.
one of my friends rolled back on superman at sfwoa. i stood at the exit and watched the lims quit firing....it was actually quite cool to see.....nothing special happened, just sort of funny to see.

Uh, Don't that ride roll back every cycle anyway?

Chuck, who thinks the first launch is weak enough.

Evertime this topic comes up, someone has to post they rolled back on a shuttle. Im sure the LIMs did quit firing, and Gravity did take over, and back to the station it went where it hit the LIMs again and up teh other spike it went.

A rollaback on Dragster? OH MY GOD!!!

I've NEVER rolled back on a launched coaster. (That's because the only launched coasters I've ever riden are Hypersonic,Wicked Twister,Flight of Fear, and Volcano!)

You must be this dumb to ride Viper. -SFGAdv.

I've had a rollback on Volcano, and it was VERY cool. I've heard rollbacks on Hypersonic XLC are even better! I also had many rollbacks on Joker's Jinx (intentional). We were filming TV commercials and they launced JJ at like 30% for filming. We would get up into the cobral roll then roll back..down the launch track and back to the station. It was fun, but nothing like Volcano rollback!

Although you said "no shuttles" I will chime in that I have experienced a launch malfunction on Superman at SFMM and ended up stopped just short of the curve, over the walkway below.
