ever been told you couldnt ride?

i personally havent had this problem because im not over-weight and im not too tall or too short. but who has been told they couldnt ride a coaster due to their size? (short, tall, etc....)

i have a friend that waited in line to ride B:TR for 4-6 hrs, then they pushed his hair down and told him he was an inch too short. too bad he wont even ride coasters now :-(

anybody else have a similar experience?

B:TR for 4-6 hrs,

B:TR doesn't have that kind of wait even on the busiest days. I've seen peak days where it pushes 3, but that's not even too common.

yeah unless it was opening day at SFGAm I don't think the lines ever reached past 5 hours since then. When I was shorter though I was told I couldn't go on Shockwave and IronWolf at SFGAm.

My Top 5 Coasters:
1. Raging Bull(SFGAm) 2.Millenium Force(CP) 3. Deja Vu(SFGAm) 4.V2(SFGAm) 5.Cornball Express(IB)http://coasterworld.cjb.net

Well, luckly I have never been told I can ride a RollerCoaster, but I was told once that I couldnt ride a Log Ride
Believe it or not At SFWOA, Did you know you cant ride their Log Ride on your own, I think its a pathetic rule and quite bizarre really, because I have never had a problem riding Log Rides or any kind of water ride on my own before at any other park.
Luckly, I only queued up 15 mins which was'nt too bad, but if I queued up any longer, then I would have been very pissed, and I would have given them a piece of my mind for sure.

In 1997 I was told I couldn't ride Twister II, but I suspected it anyways so I wasn't that disapointed. I was about a inch too short.
Damn, I can not ride many wooden coasters. I am 6'5 and I am mostly legs. I can never get the lap bars to lock around my knees.
PaulD, what would have yelling at Ride Ops accomplished? They're just doing their jobs. What would you suggest, them to let you go and risk getting written up from their supervisers.

Excalibur Crew for 2002!

Actually yes. We were on vacation, going to 4 different Six Flags parks last summer. Before we left I vowed to ride every coaster at every park we visited. We reached Darien Lake, and I even brought my little brother up with me, and they still said I couldn't ride the kiddie coaster, Brain Teaser. I was a little upset, but thats the only one I didn't get to ride on my vacation. lol.
Beginning of the season(2001) I couldnt fit on V2(SFGAm). Came back 3 months later (and 35 lbs lighter), and was able to ride.

"The Peoples Elbow" or "The Spinaroonie?. Cant decide which is the most electrifying move in sports entertainment!!! LOL

Chitown - Me too bud. V2 got me to join weight watchers and I have lost 50# since Memorial day...
My friend is 6'5 and couldn't ride Deja Vu. Denied!!!
Damn, I would think that it would be embarassing to be too overweight to ride a ride.

800,000 years in 7 seconds: Time Machine the movie or next S&S creation?

I've been turned down to some kiddie coasters... so rude!

I was banned for a day from woodstock express for sticking my hands out of the side of the train an tapping a support jokingly.

"Yeah, they did it in Superman 3"

Once at the Dahlonaga Min Train at SFOG, I saw a FAT black lady that even the ride ops pushing down on the bars wouldn't get the lap bar to close. It was then, this is a little off the subject, that I faked screamed and the little girl (7-8) behind me said, "Haha, you're scared!!!" My friend and I couldn't stop laughing for the rest of the ride.

Oh ya, lines on B:TR can get 4-6 hours long. My friend's parents were going to a concert at SFOG, and arrived early to ride some rides. Unfortunately, the only got to ride one ride, B:TR and the waited 4 1/2 hours for it. This was, I think, the year after it opened.

Same for me. At Myrtle Beach I rode every coaster at the Pavilion, Grand Prix, and Family Kingdom, except for the kiddie at FK. They told me I was too tall :P. Funny thing is, an exact clone of the kiddie coaster was at Grand Prix, and they let me ride that one :)

I was told I couldn't ride Nitro because the park was closed. The park has a policy with says it the line is open, you can ride it. If I remeber correctly the line was open!

At the New York State Fair last summer, I saw several people (who imo weren't overly large) be turned away from the new KMG Afterburner they'd had. It seemed that the seats themselves were kind of thin and that the shoulder harnesses only locked in one position. I felt sorry for them.

xbombman, LOL, the only coasters I've been unable to ride were also "kiddie" coasters. Some of the best fun can be had while having a bunch of 4-5 year olds pointing and laughing...
Congratulations Chitown and Redman! I'm proud of you guys! :)
