Ever been to Season Passholder night at any park?

I know it is a long time from now, but I am thinking about going to Season Passholder night at SFMM this September. I've never been to one of these before. Have any of you ever been to one of these at any park? If so, what was it like? Was there anything strange or special going on that they don't do on normal operating days? I am not sure if it is worth going since they are only open from 4pm-10pm. If I pick an uncrowded weekday with longer hours I could probably get on more rides, but if there is another reason to go to Passholder night, maybe I should go anyway.

My mother (1946-2009) once asked me why I go to Magic Mountain so much. I said I feel the most alive when I'm on a roller coaster.

At SFoT they have season passholder appreciation days, which have bring-a-friend-free and 1 hour of "E"RT. It wasn't anything special and because most season passholders have ridden the crap out of everything at the park, the extra "E"RT wasn't a good enough reason for me to get there at 9 in the morning. They did give us vouchers for free baseball tickets, which we used (and a whole bunch of people threw theirs out so we ended up taking the whole church youth group).

This year that have a whole day (5pm - 10pm) that's only for passholders and their brought friends. I'm not going to make a specific trip for it, because it's not going to be much different than a light crowd day. This year the free tickets were given out with the season pass coupon books.

I attended one event at SFGAm called "coasters after dark".

After the park closed for the day, if you have a season pass, you can ride the coasters and Giant Drop. We had to show our pass at every ride entrance.

It wasn't anything special but it provided 2 more hours of riding.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

CP has an hour of "E"RT on one of their coasters for Platinum Pass Holders once a month. Two years ago I went to the Magnum ERT and got an extra 10 rides in a row which was sweet, especially the last one with no trims. Last year I tried to do the "E"RT on Dragster but the line was 30min long and once I actually got to the station the ride decided to break for the night.

Thanks for the info. The passholder night at SFMM this year is only for passholders and one friend too and the coupon did come with the coupon book like you said. So far it doesn't seem worth it to go. It seems like there is no real advantage to going that day instead of any other day which isn't crowded. I'll keep it in mind as a backup plan depending on which days I am actually able to go that month.

SP night at Canada's Wonderland is held before the park opens for the season, so, for me, it is my chance to get into the park and get on some rides for the first time in the season.

I have been to 2 at Great Adventure last year. One in May, Coaster After Dark. Walk ons all night except for KK which was 20 minutes but was later a walk on.

The 2nd one was Family Fall Fun Night in Septmber. It was raining all day but stopped when the park opened. Only 410 people showed up. The only bad thing was Nitro and KK were closed. They were supposed to be open until 10, but closed at 7:30 because of the lack of people. While on the skyride, I saw a total of 5 people (not counting employees) walking around. It was my most memorable park trip ever. Even with the park only open for 2 1/2 hours, I got 23 rides in.

Here is my TR for that night with more details:

From what I have read in the Trip Reports, closing early seems to be fairly common at Great Adventure. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they do it all the time. But I've never heard of any other parks closing early as often as they seem to. No wonder that park gets so many complaints, lol. I have been to SFMM and KBF when they were that empty many times and they have always stayed open until their scheduled closing time. That includes one day which was so empty that I went on X 7 times and it never had more than 10 people in line.
