Have I mentioned I was on SFA's Superman when the chain broke?

Once or twice, yes... ;)

I've actually never been stuck on a coaster or any ride for that matter. Closest I've ever come, actually, was Saturday at Kennywood. While riding the Old Mill, the boat didn't come off the little lift. We were stuck there until the empty train behind us gave us a little knock.

i want to know more about the rollback on MF i dont know but that lift just makes me nervous just the whole idea of the cable. DjaVu doesnt make me nervouse because there is only one car but the thought of baraling down that incline backwards toward the train in the station just gets me a litte freaked out. but i love the lift rode it 4 times in an hour on one of those holloween days back in october
I've never been stuck on a rollercoaster, but I did get stuck in the Rotor at the then Geauga Lake. It is not a very pleasant experience sliding down that rubber wall.

Cedarnut00, The actual Millennium Force rollback happened mid circuit with an empty train on a cold WINDY morning.

Also, for reference sake, the cable on MFs lift is not the protection from rolling down the hill. If the cable snapped, you would come to a stop, and be perfectly safe. I'm not 100% sure on the workings of MF's anti-rollback system, but I know it is failsafe, like any other coaster's system. (I can only think of one lift hill rollback, the tragic accident in NJ in '99. If I remember correctly, the park, or maintanence, or the construction firm installed wrong parts for the anti rollbacks, and was found negligent.)

What I was referring to was not a rollback. The train stopped, and the anti-rollback mechanism prevented it from going down the lift hill backwards. I was pointing out that what I felt was different than a regular lift. (MF's lift is unique) I actually felt the train roll backwards for what seemed like about a foot or more before the anti-rollback mechanism stopped the train. (It was probably even shorter a distance) This was also a much harder stop with a more pronounced backwards motion than any "regular" coaster, but I assume is nothing out of the ordinary, and was not a rollback.

Hmmm...The only time I have actually been stuck on a coaster was that time when it took three attendants to get the lap bar to release on the Kings Island Racer.

Never stuck here.

However while riding Dueling Dragons, Fire Dragon stopped in the middle of the lift hill. The people in the row I was in started to panic because they thought "it broke down" and "now we are stuck" ... they didn't realize we were just waiting for Ice to catch up with us so both trains could go hit the first drops at the same time. I could have told them this, but it was just too amusing to watch them freak out.

I've gotten stuck on Batman the Ride at SFGAm. We got stuck just a couple inches away from the dip before we entered the drop. You know why we got stuck? Some moron pulled their seatbelt out of the hoarsecollar.
Got stuck on the Outlaw @ Adventurland on the last brake run, because the op was ticked that enough people weren't puuting their hands in the air and having a good time. He said we had to reride the coaster until he saw that everyone was having a good time.

I love that guy!

I got stuck once on final brakes of the Steel Phantom a few years back. It was a cool April day at KP and it was also shakedown day. I guess the ride (and operators) were a little rusty. The brakes released fine, but the train refused to roll into the station. Eventually the maintenance guys and SP team pushed the train into the station. This must have kept happening because the maintenance guys pretty much stayed at the SP to push trains into the station for a good part of the day.

I have also seen several cars get stuck on the Wild Mouse at Idlewild. This tends to happen when the brakes are wet or a car is too heavy (and too fast). Too many cars enter a block and the ride basically shuts itself down. Maintenance has to release each car one by one before re starting the ride. *** This post was edited by Justin Hoffmann on 4/17/2001. ***
208 feet above ground. What a place to be stuck. I wasn't quite at the top when I was stranded on SROS at SFNE. It was fun, except for the inclimate weather and chilling wind.
I got stuck on montu at bgt because some guy pulled out his seatbelt. There was a really loud alarm too that happened when we stopped.

The only ride I got stuck on was the American Eagle at SFGA,, twice in a day.. The first time, was just the ride,, it was fun though,, with the blue going, the whole track would shake, when we started to move slowly, the blue train passed us laughing at us.. it was pretty fun when we passed them up at the barrel! And the second, was at night,, we were stuck for an hour.. it was soo cold, and fun! and then , my friends and I found out it was cause our friend,, he lost his hat earlier in the day.. He jumped over the fence! and they stopped it,, he was kicked out.. He was soo stupid..

AMERICAN EAGLE!! (RED TRAIN)BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I get stuck on Wild Thing at Valleyfair on a regular basis. That thing always gets stuck. However, we always have fun, because there's usually nothing to fear, plus, you have a nice view from 207 ft. up!
Only a few unfortunutly, but its been nothing really that exciting.

Incredible Hulk(IOA) Stuck on the Brake run for 5-10 mins.

Oblivion(AT) Got Stuck on the brake run for 15 mins, and was one train anyway from being stuck right at the top, the ride ops were excellent though, one came to us straight away saying if we were all ok etc and stayed with us until the ride was fixed, and when we got off, we all got a personal apology from a top manager at Alton, No free ride passes were handed out, but the apology was a very nice touch.

Pirates of the Caribean(Disney,Florida)we had just got on the ride, when suddenly a few boats ahead of us got stuck, we were there for a good 20 mins, and when the family who got stuck had to get out of the boat, they looked rather embrassed.
I've been stuck on the top of HSXLC.;) JK
