European Coaster Club holds auction for kids

Posted | Contributed by Taipan

The European Coaster Club is auctioning off several items to benefit the Give Kids the World charity, which runs a Florida resort serving terminally ill kids. Among the ten items up for bid are John Wardley's jacket, an Arrow Vampire ride car, Goliath plan and many more.

A good cause and some great items. Man I would love to get my hands on that Vampire car. However I shudder to think how much that would cost in shipping to have it sent over here....

I was thinking the same thing -- it'd be cool to own, but getting it shipped to the states would be pricey!

Nice auction stuff, very nice.

I like the suggestion that the Vampire car could be used for a yard swing, though, exactly how much weight would one have to design whatever support structure you decide to build to bear? (Where's Rideman, or Arrow Guy, when you need him!) (P.S. I have heard of old chair lift chairs being used for yard swings)

Free shipping for those living in mainland UK, however.

That walk to the top of Goliath sounds awesome.

Apparently, (and only from speaking to ECC team members) it would only take a couple if bits of scaffolding to hold it up. Also to ship it to America would be tragic.Since it is the UK's only suspended.
