Euro Parks

Hey all! I am taking a trip across the pond to Europe from March 5-March 20th. I was just curious if any parks over there are going to be open besides Disneyland Paris. I heard that Blackpool is open on weekends, but am not sure of this. I will be all over Europe, so it doesn't really matter what region. Anyway, any info about the parks or tips for my trip would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! ;)

Are you an ECC member or an ACE?

This might be too tight for your schedule but on the 19th of March Liseberg have an opening cermony for Balder. All ECC members are invited and I think ACE members are welcomed as well. Only Balder will be open though and the media will be there as well.

Well just an idea, the coaster season in Scandinavia doesn't really start untill April...

You should really try and delay your trip if Possible, as most parks here in England are re-opening in April(this includes Alton,Chessington,Thorpe Park etc) However Some parks are re-opening in March which include Southport,Drayton, and Blackpool on Weekends Only till April I believe.

Also there are a lot of other parks round Europe also reopening April Time, I know the likes of Parc Asterix is reopening April plus a few others(However like you say, DLP would be open on your trip)

So like I say, I would definatly try and delay your trip by one month if possible if you're really interested in going to some parks, that way you could go to Thorpe and try out Nemesis Inferno, You could go to Alton and Try out AIR, and you could try out the other parks dotted around Europe(Europa Park in Germany Springs to mind) but again they and many other parks in Germany reopen April.

Hey Col! Yes, we have this discussion before. LOL! I am just getting some last minute tips before I make my journey. Two weeks away baby!!! Anyway, thanks for the advice all. I wish that I could delay the trip to see all those great parks, but unfortunately that isn't the purpose of my trip. Oh well, I still plan on checking out Disneyland Paris and hopefully Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I'm sure that I'll love Europe so much that I'll want to go back. When I do, I'll check out all the parks over there, since it will most likely be during the summer.

That Balder opening sounds fun Olov. However, I'll be based in Amsterdam while I am there and my flight leaves early the next morning, so I'm not sure if I'll make it.

Well, thanks again guys. And Col, maybe my friends and I can hook up with you and we can go to Blackpool one of the two weekends I am there. I should be in London for one of them, so I'll keep you posted.......
