Found in todays world news headlines on Yahoo.com under health.
A majority of adults are obese or overweight in most European Union nations... contributing to make Europe a fat continent. "The numbers are frightening" said the EU health commissioner.
I'm one of those obese Americans Mr. K. put down.

Does that mean the European coaster manufacturers will start making larger seats with longer belts?

'Bout time they started getting fat too -- now if only the Asians would follow suit. ;)

Having just visited Europe, I'm convinced it's all the smoking (and walking) that's kept the average weight of Europeans down. It certainly isn't the food, because it's just as unhealthy as our food here.
That said... here comes larger seats.

In Japan, their MacDonalds just came out with a "Super Big Mac" which is like a double of ours here. Anyway, the comapany hoped to sell about 1 million of them and it turns out that they sold over 3 million.
I've seen a couple plump Asians before. I don't feel so bad, now.

Although our food habits here in America our horrible and no one will dispute that, I have seen alot of changes recently leading in a better direction. Foods are becoming healthier and I have even heard of some restaurants advertising smaller portions. It is a slow and well overdue change but at least it is happening. .

^Yes but then you have Carl's Jr./Hardee's/BurgerKing with their "explodospleenburgers" which blow that statement you just made out of the water. The problem is, people enjoy to eat and some actually love being fat.
As far as Asians getting fat, probably not, but you have to wonder about the effects of eatting so much rice and then drinking a lot of water. Doesn't rice expand when it gets saturated?

Unless they're eating uncooked rice there's nothing to worry about.
