ErUPtion Construction Photos

Hey guys, ErUPtion is moving along great. The 3 towers are complete and the Pod is on site. Now I have a question regarding this ride. How fast is the blast off and what is the highest height you will reach once blasted off? Also has anyone ridden one of these? If so how was it? Also when is the opening day for this ride, I cant wait to ride it.

Heres a direct link to a couple of photos...

Since I am not that familiar with SFGADV (Have only been once, two years ago) can you tell me if this is going in where the Zamperla Turbo Force pay-per-play attraction was?

ErUPtion i belive goes up 60 mph and about 230 feet in air also opening day is may 10th or 15th i forgot... and it will be right in front of Right Stuff(old dino island), between scream machine and superman. i think ErUPtion will cost $20 - $30
I know everything =)

It's very close to the old Turbo Force site but its actually directly in front of the Right Stuff building (former Dino Island) where the tempoary sling shot was 2 seasons ago. The Turbo Force site, which was small anyway, is now vacant. That is probably to add space around Eruption for exiting the ride along with exiting Right Stuff and the go-carts.
EDIT : This is well before you reach Superman or Scream Machine. The only ride between those two is the Space Shuttle and Alcatraz if it actually opens.

Top Thrill,

The launch looks slow from the ground, but feels fast when you're on the ride. You go quite a bit higher than the top of the towers, which is kind of frightening.

The ride is a lot of fun, but it's a shame they got rid of the original restraints. Sitting in that little saddle, I felt like it would have been easy to fall out, but I'm sure I was plenty secure. One of the unanticipated highlights of the ride: when you flip upside down, you are face to face with the other riders (if they are riding the same program you are). Moosh and I were laughing hysterically at seeing each other unexpectedly 300-odd feet above Magic Mountain, LOL!

I'm awaiting the reopening of SFMM's model to see how the new seats/restraints effect the ride.

Yea Eruption is where the old sling shot is. That brings up another question, why did SFGADV take out Turbo Force? Thanks Maximus for the money Info, I wasnt sure if it was going to be a pay ride or not. Ok so if its 20-30 dollars a ride (which I think is crazy), then how much did Eurption cost all together? When will SFGADV see a profit with it?
I think they will becasue the other sling shot ride had long lines and people were paying to go on it.

This is the one ride I have no idea if I would do.... Just reading these threads on it, and/or watching the POV shots is just freaky as hell. I've got goosebumps right now.... ;)

Timberhawk opens in June! I'm gonna beat you to it... ;)
I was there last week, and seeing it in person gives a pretty creppy perspective, as the towers are so thinn! I'm definatly riding it later on in the season (but I'll probably be quite nervous)
