Epcot Center question

It's not a Chippewa Lake, if that's what you are asking! But EPCOT has lost the incredible atmosphere that it had 10 years ago. Nearly all of the attractions have been changed, and not neccessarily for the better (but that's just my opinion). Certain companies have changed sponsorships so some attractions had to be redone. But there are other things that I miss dearly. No World of Motion, no Figment! EPCOT was by far my favorite of the worlds down there, but last April it didn't hit home. It is always going to change, because that is what Walt designed it for. But just like the animated films right now, some of the areas in the company seem to have lost their touch. Are they ever gonna remove that horrid arm from the golf ball? God I miss the 80's!

I believe Figment is returning to Epcot this year or next in the Imagination ride, as there have been oodles of guest complaints about the poor quality of the ride and Figment's major disappearance. And wasn't the arm removed while they were redoing the 2000 sign or not? I kind of liked the arm anyway, because it felt more Disney to me.
The arm was there last spring. I hope Figment returns! I can't listen to my WDW soundtrack without tearing up...."Ima-a-agina-a-tion! A dream can be a dream come true.....with just that spark.....from me and you!" Do do de de do do de :P

I think the big "arm" on spaceship earth now says Epcot on it. I also agree that Epcot will get better once mission space goes in and more general rehab is done.

Where has the magic gone in the name Disney?

I don't see why so many people dislike Test Track. I think that it is a very enjoyable one of a kind ride. I rode it three times when I was there and enjoyed it every single one of them. I also love Space Ship Earth (which incidently, my 3 and a half year old nephew loved too, along with the boat ride in Mexico), Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and whatever that ride is called in Norway.

EPCOT has a lot of great things to see, and it was one of my favorite parks on the complex when I went there a couple of years ago. Animal Kingdom was another highlight, the theming was absolutely wonderful. There might have been a shortage of rides, but the trails to walk and look and wildlife (which actually make you feel like you are walking through the jungle) were terrific.
