employee benifits

this is for people who work at amusement parks, water parks, or theme parks:

what are your benifits of working at a park.

At water country i get: season pass to the park, free soda with a water bottle,1/2 off food, free lockers and tubes.

One more thing: If you work at a sixflags park or any kind of park that has a chain, then can you get a season pass for all thier parks

They last I knew, Kennywood Co. employees (Kennywood, Idlewild, and Sandcastle) could get into each of those parks for free. Plus you received a couple of free passes to bring guests. Employees got a 25% discount off of food and drinks in the park, but only the people who worked in food stands could get free soda. I think there was also a discount on merchandise, and I know that Idlewild employees had a some discounts at surrounding restaurants and businesses. Finally, there were pool parties, picnics, etc.

In the past at WOF, they have offered several different items. I believe the following is pretty current:

Free admission to any Cedar Fair Park. Up to 4 free passes for family & friends. Bonus pay for working through the contract end date, payable $1 an hour for any non-overtime hours (I believe after the first 200 hours but this may have changed recently) Housing assistance for those who have moved from over 30 miles away to work at the park, Numerous employee parties and ride events throughout the season. Also a yearly bus trip (not paid for by CF) to Valleyfair, free admission to Six Flags St Louis, free admission to Silver Dollar City (these may have been eliminated recently). Discounts to some food.merch locations when out of costume, reduce tube rentals at OOF, scholarship opportunities and much more. I guess it depends what type of employment pool each park has to pull from. Valleyfair and Cedar Point both have dorms.

Although I'm not an employee at Knoebels I know they get tickets for rides and RAD passes in with there paychecks. I also know they have swim nights at the pool after hours. Knoebels, Dorney, SFGAdv, and I believe Hershey have a courtesy thing where there employees can visit any of the other parks for free.

I should become a part time employee for those benefits!

Yes coasterpunk you're right I have a friend that does games at Knoebels and he was saying how he can get into those parks for free. I'm tempted next year to get my own car and work there just for the benefits!

Yes I'm 15, no I'm not childish, I'm not being sarcastic, well maybe I do have somewhat of an ego...

At Kings Island you get a few diffrent things. Cheep food anytime if you goto the employee restraunt. Free admission to any paramount park. 50% off merchindise. Free tickets for every so many hours you work. Discounts at various other places in the area.

Part of a Flight Attendant's arrival announcement: "We'd like to thank you folks for flying with us today. And, the next time you get the insane urge to go blasting through the skies in a pressurized metal tube, we hope you'll think of us."

I forgot there are also 5 passes for family, family night and awards night so we can win prizes.

i work at a small family park outside of Chicago with an ACE family classic coaster...the management gives us stuff like rides whenever we want, 25% food discounts, 50% discounted tickets, and a few employee parties during the year, but most of those benefits are no good to us because almost all of the rides are made for children under 54"...

CoasterPunk, Add Delgrossos to that list.

When I worked at CP I took a trip to Dorney and got in free. Dorney treated my former roomate and I virtually like royalty. They were happy to see employees from the mothership visiting them:)

Also while working at CP we recieved gifts for haveing good attendance like a water bottle, beach towel, MF baseball cap, ect. There was a very inexpinsive doctor that we could visit instead of insurance. The housing was free in the off-season. The park planned great events for thier employees like ride nights, beach parties, bus trips to other parks and attractions, and movies on the lazer screen. The cafeteria food was pretty inexpensive. We got cans of Pepsi for 35cents. We could enjoy the park any time we were not working.

Good benifits but a heck of a difficult job. I say that it was worth it.

I work at Coney Island (Cincinnati) as a ride operator. While not in uniform, I get free use of all the rides, miniature golf and sunlite pool all season. Also, after working 150 hours, I get two free passes to sunlite pool and there are various times when you can earn Coney Bucks, which are similiar to Scooby Bucks at Kings Island with the exception that Coney bucks can be used for admissions.

Add Lakemont, DelGrosso's, SFKK, SFWoA, Hershey, Dutch Wonderland, Knoebel's, and of course Lake Compounce to that list. All of the above parks have reciprocal entry agreements that all employees of those parks get in to Kennywood parks, and vice versa.

When I worked at WDW I got free admission to all Disney theme parks everywhere, discounted admission to the water parks and Disney Quest. I had a pass that could get up to 4 people into the theme parks 12 times a year, some other free passes, merchandise discount most of the stores on property, discounted hotel rates for on property hotels, discounts at full service resturants, discount at the quick service resturants at Animal Kingdom. There was probably some more, including discounts at places that had nothing to do with Disney. I even got discounts for Sea World and Busch Gardens tickets if I got them at the company store.

At Sesame Place, we get 6 free tickets to any Busch park except Discovery Cove after working 30 days, we have a reciprocal ID program going with SFGAd, Hurricane Harbor, Hersheypark, Dorney Park, and even Knoebels, we get a $0.40 cent bonus for hour every we work every day until the end of the season if we work until our work completion date, and then we get a nice check in December - just in time for Christmas, we and one guest get into all the BEC parks for free, and we get like 30% off of food and merchandise. We also have employee parties, pool parties, volleyball tourneyments, and more.

At SFGAd, our ID gets us and one guest into any SF park in the country, I believe we get something like 15-20% off food and merchandise, we have ride nights, and we have a reciprocal ID program with Hurricane Harbor, Hersheypark, Dorney Park, and Knoebels too...I believe there maybe a few more...

At SFoT you get free access to SF parks of course, 1/2 off food, tickets for friends to come for free, and some more stuff that I'm sure happens at other SF parks.
