Embarassing Ride Moments

Hi all,

Ok, time for a light hearted thread and a chance to have a giggle at each other's expense! :-)

What's the most embarassing incident that has ever happened to you before, during, or after a coaster or other ride ride!

My moment occurred after a particularly enthusiastic ride on the Teacups (the kind where you control the rate of rotation). I was so dizzy and disorientated that, upon trying to disembark the ride after it had stopped, I fell flat on my face....much to the ride operator's amuzement. I stumbled off in seach of a seat, found one right next to the ride, and promptly fell off it.

It was a good 5 minutes before my head stopped spinning! After which time, it was time to grab a burger! :-D

In the Running of the Bulls (TM) towards Millennium Force last year, I got sick frompushing myself a lil too hard. How sad. :(

I have two incidents... although not nearly as good as the ones above.

1. Sticking my head in a garbage can and coming very close to losing my lunch after riding a log flume - this is when I discovered I had a motion sickness problem.

2. Smacking my head on the wheel undercarriage of Iron Dragon only seconds after hearing the ride op state very clearly over the PA, "Watch your heads as you enter the car."

Always good for a chuckle: watching 14 rows of people simultaneously trip on the concrete ledge before boarding Vertical Velocity at SFGAm.

Ask about my references!

Well @ SFNE I went to ride FlashBack and there was no line so i was trying to duck under all the metal bars and i underestimated the height on one of the bars and i smashed my face into it...Very painful...

#2: Some people just dont listen...

As for your closing statement, I hear you on that. Course it never happened with me cuz the only impulse I've been on is WT, and that was only once, though I do want to go back for another round asap...

Now for my moment....

Once I was waiting in line for front row of PKI's frontwards Racer with my friend, and I peed my pants I train before ours. This wasnt outof nervousness, I just couldnt hold it in...

I really don't have anything from me, but at Kennywood after a very rainy storm in the morning the station of Phantom's Revenge was very wet. On the little ramp that leads you into the station I saw eight people in different groups of people slip and fall and the last one went right on her face. It was funny but it looked like it hurt.

My mobile phone went off at the top of oblivion once, I couldn't stop laughing(even going down the drop)

I've neglected to raise my foot up high enough to exit Iron Dragon's car several times, but never completely fell over. I've also got my feet caught up while trying to get out of TTD's cars a couple times...Neither are that bad, but I supposed it looked funny to anybody who happened to see it.

"What are you, a dentist? Or a hippie? Or some kind of hippie dentist?" -strong bad

Sometimes when I get out of the Corkscrew at CP the restraint slams down on my head and I always say "ouch!" when it happens and try to act like it was nothing, even thought all the ride ops are staring at me.

1. I saw a pigeon get smashed by a car on the Phantom's Revenge.

2. I got stuck in the seat of the Wave Swinger at Kennywood, 'cause my butt was too big and had to have my friend pull the seat off of me. Kind of funny, yet embarrasing at the same time.

I always hate it when on American Eagle I can't get the lap bar open. I press it too early or late or just think about it too much. Not fun being the only one in the train w/50 people watching you.

Mine always happen in the Boardwalk at Knott's Berry Farm. The first time i rode Perilous Plunge, I thought the boat was as deep as normal boats, but it turned out it was deeper. So instead of stepping on the seat, I tried to go for the floor, and fell in, I looked like an idiot. Another time we were riding the Wheeler Dealer Bumper Cars, and when exiting the ride, I didn't lift my leg up enough, and fell flat on my face, I got back up and hurried out of the rink before anyone said anything.

Welcome one and all, y'all come have a ball!
Things a bear-y fine, ridin' on the old Knott's bear-y line!

Yeah standing in line for the Demon at PGA you see at least one person per train get bonked in the head by the falling restraints

I was in line for second row for batman at sfgam, and when the gates opened the people in front of us went to their seats and my friend behind me said there was 2 seats open in the front row, so i went through and was about to get in a seat and the op said there was someone sitting there already. Then she made me literally jump back over the gates in front of everyone, haha, my friend got hit by the gate closing
I can't think of any embarrassing moments I had on a ride, but I can speak of one that I witnessed:

I was @ PKD next in line for the log flume. This obese woman and her husband got into the back seat of the log. Now, one should have gotten in the front to balance it out. Well, when the ride dispatched the log didn't move! The log was touching bottom! The op was trying to push the log with her foot with very little success, so she yelled "HELP!" to get another op. I was laughing so hard that day.

I've got crapped on by seagulls on 2 seperate occasions...

... alot of the time i purposely embarass myself, and friends (they are usually welcome to it) on rides at parks just for the fun of it; and to get many stares from the public; and sometimes we just make it into a contest, haha...

I've tripped and fell numerous times getting out of Arrow Looper Trains. One time, I twisted my foot and couldn't walk good or sometime.

This summer I was slightly running into a restroom at Dorney after a ride and I slipped... and continued slipping... and slipped a little more but didn't fall. I think you look a little sillier slipping (continually) and not falling than actually slipping and falling. Although the former definitely hurts the least in most cases. ;)
