I just bumped into this today. I know some people don't care for such things or think it's a giant pain in the butt, but I always found it interesting and I certainly respected Mitch for the thought that went into the algorithm and the time it took to run it.

I've always missed this poll! Looking forward to seeing how it plays out.
Edit: And I see they've already done it a couple times. Neat. I'll see if I can participate in the next one.
For a while, I was super gung-ho about putting serious thought into my Mitch Hawker ballots, but I realized that a) the list came out mostly the same as something like CBuzz100 (though without the nods to the super obscure foreign coasters) and b) I didn't care enough about the outcome to invest my time because "coasters." I may give it another look this year, but it's kind of a pain. I think by the end of my Mitch Hawker voting days, I was just filling in my top 20 or so and then adding coasters that I knew others love but I didn't to the bottom (like Ravine Flyer 2, Beast, and Magnum).

I just used the same ballot yearly for both wood and steel and added in the few credits I got each year.
Voting is open, and runs through Dec 31:

I applaud any new poll utilizing the Mitch Hawker methodology, or really just any that holds more legitimacy than Golden Ticket$.
Meh, it still lacks statistical significance, and if you account for that, it's a lot of work to get results not entirely unlike other polls.
