Elitch Gardens returns to old name, will add slide for June

The new owners and managers of Denver's hometown theme park announced Tuesday it will once again be named Elitch Gardens. Elitch Gardens is part of a family of parks, attractions, recreation and entertainment venues recently acquired by PARC Management, based in Jacksonville, FL. The Denver park will also have new attractions this summer. A new extreme tube slide, RipQurl, will be coming to Island Kingdom Water Park in June.

The new logo looks great (you can see a really nice version of it at Amusement Today), it's got a sort of "modern-retro" feel to it. The new bowl slide should be a hit, though the name is a bit weird.

Ummm, was this park just built not that long ago?

Elitch Gardens originally opened back in 1890. It was re-located to the current location in 1995 and opened up with many of the original rides and under the same owners.

The new logo does look very nice.

I like the logo, I wish they kept the pre-sf logo. It was good.
now i want some new coasters, and have them throw the flying coaster out the window!
