Electrocution victim's parents settle out of court over his Lake County Fair death

The parents of an 8-year-old Madison Township boy who died after being shocked by a Lake County Fair ride plan to settle two wrongful death claims for $1.95 million, according to documents released Monday by court officials.

wow...the lawyer gets 31% of the settlement...and they wonder why people hate lawyers. Granted the lawyer deserves to be paid, but he shouldn't get almost as much as each parent.

I would say that they got just about the max that the carnivals insurance covered. Getting any more out of them would be a crap shoot. As far as the settlement divison, the parents signed the agreement to represent which states how the attorney is to be paid.
