This seems to be a classic example of writing a ridiculously specific law on the basis of a single incident. It shouldn't make any difference if the ride is electrically or mechanically unsafe. Unsafe is unsafe. The penalties should be the same. If changes to ride legislation in Ohio are needed, they should be comprehensive.
