Electrical fire closes EPCOT

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Epcot will remain closed today because of an early morning electrical breaker fire in a back stage area but the park is expected to reopen on schedule Thursday morning. Power was lost at Epcot and the nearby Caribbean Beach Resort and the air conditioning was lost at the nearby Beach Club Villas.

Awwww.... those poor "air-condition"-less people at the Beach Club Villas....
.....and all those energy-themed attractions look kinda silly now.....

LOL, Good one Brad.

By the way, it was nice meeting you at the Perilous Plunge shoot. Hope you had a fun trip!

Actually, the Universe of Energy could probably run because it operates off the solar panels on top of the building.
I just got back from Disney and I stayed at the Beach Club Villas, luckily I left on the 13th so I had plenty of air-conditioning fun.;)

Skipper only part of the energy to run the Universe of Engery ride actually comes from the solar panels on the roof.
My god...if that fire loses control...the whole anally retentive park could go up in flames. Think of it...we could lose the happiest coporation influenced, over priced, monopliptic place on earth! Just think of the animatronics! **Turns away and sobs heavily.
