Penelec has filed legal action in Crawford County Court against the park's board of trustees, seeking payment of $273,237.94 in electric bills. The company claims that amount represents unpaid bills on 31 separate Penelec accounts at the 117-year-old resort and amusement park. The statement dates on the accounts listed in the suit range from June 2007 to March 2008.

Ken, buddy. I've got no beef with you, and I'm not trying in any way to be offensive when I say this, so please, just take it as constructive criticism.
As a volunteer PR person, and one who is hoping to one day make that a paid position, your entire writing style (grammar, spelling, proper punctuation, etc) is always under the microscope.
Thanks for keeping us posted with everything, just keep that in mind.
In the company I most recently worked for, we had a number of clients we had done work for who owed money for months or even years. Even though we hadn't done any work for them recently, and even for the few who have different management, we still sent them monthly statements for the amount that was owed.
This seems to be a similar thing. Penelec is sending statements under the old accounts to the new management.
Thanks for the awesome reply about being a park representative, Ken. I respect that. I actually admire your passion for the park.
And about the spelling thing, I was going to say about the same thing that Raven-Phile said, but I didn't want to be the first jerk to point it out. My spelling and grammar was pretty bad when I started hanging around here in '01. CoasterBuzz made me want to get better at it, and I can't tell you how much it has improved my life outside of CoasterBuzz. Correcting Spelling and Grammar is now part of my job at work.

I am not hoping to get paid for it ;-)
Ha. OK then, ignore the pay part.
As a representative, unofficial or otherwise...
In some form or another, perhaps.

I love how you had to edit for spelling in your post about spelling, LK. It just drives the point home. :)
