Eisner's New Gig

Looks like Michael Eisner has found a new job (part-time, anyway)...

CNBC---I did not realize that channel still existed. Is it on direct TV?
I get it on Time Warner Cable...

CNBC? You're kidding? I've had that on basic cable and/or DirecTV since it launched!

That channel has been around forever. I know I still get it. Not like I'm any more interested in watching it now...
Not just on cable...I listen to CNBC ("Squawk Box") every morning on the way to work on XM (channel 127).

I think the most interesting part about this is that Eisner will be getting a paycheck from NBC-Universal.

I was not kidding at all! I knew they fell miserably in the ratings when the tech bubble broke! I thought they had merged with MSNBC...but an internet search reveals, so called experts predict that may happen this year! For whatever reason...CNBC was child-locked on 2 of my Direct-TV receivers (I wonder if ABC had something to do with receiver production?)!

...in related news...if the 5 of us who posted on this thread tune in at the same time...it appears we will at least double their ratings tonight! CNBC falls somewhere between ESPN #27 and CB podcasts (an up and comer if I must say so myself)... :-) *** Edited 1/11/2006 8:37:58 PM UTC by Jeffrey R Smith***

The only time I watch CNBC is to catch reruns of the Apprentice or other NBC primetime/late night shows that are occasionally on there. I also caught shows by David Faber on Wal-Mart and eBay that were pretty interesting.
